Beach towels to use off the ship?

We are going to be on the Breeze in April and are thinking about beach visits on 1 or more of our port days. Are there towels that we can take with us off the ship to use at port beaches? How does this work? I'd like to not have to pack this and have our own beach towels take up space in our cabin all week.

Yes...you can take the beach towels from your cabin off the ship. However, if it isn't brought back onboard you will be charged $25 each. On our last cruise, you exchanged a wet towel for a dry one immediately after coming back onboard the ship.

Just to clarify a bit, the towels meant for use around the pools on the ship and to be taken into port are the blue ones provided by the room steward, not the towels in the bathroom. :)

Yes to the above, the beach towels in your cabin may be used ashore if you wish. They also have a kiosk on the pool deck where you can do a one for one exchange (or to check out an extra one).

If you read reviews with pictures look at the beach pics... you'll see all the blue towels. Those are Carnival towels! I've seen people bring their own, but there's no way they would dry well, plus all that sand. No thanks, I'll let someone else do that laundry. You can tell what cruise line people are on by the towels if there's more than one in port.

Happily beach towels are provided for your use to take with you on your port stops and will be replaced for you! :D

ALL cruise lines provide beach/pool towels! No need to pack them!

We have been using them for years. The are like human chamois. They take up no space, their huge, dry quickly, and you can rinse out in the shower and hang to dry. Best cruise investment

Carnivals towels are good sized towels too. Thick also. not cheap thin towels.

I don't fly so I pack my own. I use the Carnival blue towels for my shower. The bath towels are barely big enough to dry my hair which is long and thick so I use those for that purpose. The blue towels are great for the shower nice and big.

Chamois is a very fine tanned leather originally made from the chamois, a goat antelope, that is highly absorbent. Skins of other animals are now also used.

 

The description of human chamois (tanned leather) just brings to mind past atrocities.
