1965 Posted February 15, 2018 #7 Share Posted February 15, 2018 My favorite platinum perk is the free internet minutes. The amount depends on the length of your cruise. Our last cruise was 27 days so we each got 500 minutes. Since my husband doesn't care a thing about them I got his minutes which gave me 1000 minutes! It allowed me to stay in touch with our daughter & my sisters through Facebook messenger.

Thrak Posted February 16, 2018 #10 Share Posted February 16, 2018 Love having the free wifi! Don't care so much about the rest.... Don't knock having a nicer place to wait for disembarkation. Sitting at a table with a glass of whatever and a small nosh beats being stuck in the Casino or sitting along the wall outside of Explorer's. It's so much nicer to wait comfortably when the time draws near.

caribill Posted February 16, 2018 #12 Share Posted February 16, 2018 A better disembarkation lounge with drinks and small snacks. That being "better" depends on the number of platinum/elite/suite passengers on the cruise. When over half the ship has that status, a better place to wait is anywhere but the special lounge. jefa Posted February 18, 2018 #17 Share Posted February 18, 2018 A better disembarkation lounge with drinks and small snacks. Except if you are on a transfer at disembarkation you have to go to the meeting place for that transfer, so can't sit in the platinum lounge!!! happy cruzer Posted July 26, 2018 #18 Share Posted July 26, 2018 Like the atlas to look at deck plans on paper. Priority Check in has been nice. Saved a bit of time. Disembarcation is nightmare not matter what, the lounge helps a bit. Platinum party is nice, don't do it each night but once or twice, nice. Like to upgrade to the Platinum Insurance but that is included at the previous level. Of course the internet minutes are the big money saver. Enjoy! Micahs Grandad Posted July 26, 2018 #19 Share Posted July 26, 2018 But you do have to pay for them. The drinks have become rather weird to say the least. Wish they would go back to more common cocktails.
