Just received 2 emails from Carnival; each for a booked cruise.

 

Cruise A: Oceanview for 4 days. Upgrade to balcony $26

 

Cruise B: Oceanview for 8 days. Upgrade to balcony $412

 

Snapped up that upgrade on cruise A faster than I could get the Amex out :') Cruise B can simmer down :')

We got a $24 upgrade offer from a balcony on Empress to balcony on Lido. I was pleased with that price, but yours is awesome! I am hoping for an offer on our other booked cruise from an inside to...well, anything else but nothing so far.

Seems like there are A LOT of upgrades going around.. been reading lately several people getting them. I got the first upgrade offer after 30 cruises just a couple days ago too. Inside room to Balcony Deck 10 on 4 Day Conquest for $148... I too couldn't get my credit card out fast enough lol!

I noticed something that got me thinking after seeing all these upgrade offers.. I have never received a email from carnival except right after booking. I found a box under my profile on carnival that allows them to send emails was not checked. Maybe that will make a difference :D

I decided to check my email to see if Carnival sent anything for upgrades.

There it was from two days ago, an upgrade offer! They sent two offers for my December 2nd cruise on the Dream.

The first was $32 upgrade from deck 8 to deck 9. Still mid ship but under the Lido deck.

The next offer was $168 to the Spa deck balcony.

Now I'm traveling on this cruise solo and the pricing on the upgrade was reasonable.

I decided on the Spa balcony because I was going to purchase a spa access package on board. Now I don't have to and enjoy this.

This is the second time in my sailings being offered an upgrade. The first time a few sailings back, I was called while at work and when I tried to return the call, never got a reply.

I'm excited and never would had thought to check, but thanks to this post I did

I got the upgrade to a balcony for our June cruise on the Dream. I turned it down since we were in a deluxe ocean view with the 2 "bathrooms" whoo hoo.

Our upgrade offer for September was from inside 4K to balcony for $526. Too high!

The problem is that after enjoying the balcony on cruise A you may be hooked and have to consider the balcony on cruise B! Enjoy!
