Have seen it, really tacky. :o And that man was very rude to the crew members also. They are have just recently made it to actual Pinnacle.
I hope you're not referring to my triangle pin and me as I go way above for the crew and make all the flag buttons you see them wearing.

Gosh no...and I bet it's really cute too! The man I am talking about did a really good job with that pin making it look real. You really had to look close to see it was a fake.

So cool you make those flag buttons for the staff! My DH makes little champagne cork Rudolphs for the crew on our December cruises.

All you do is make a rectangular gold nametag 2 5/8 × 3/4, and attach a D+ pin

The STAR group got inconvenienced much less than SKY, so that's odd.

STAR had dedicated seating in CK that was rarely used, they had drink packages so no need for SL, and they had Genies for all shows and dinner reservations.

It was nice meeting both of you at the Visa Party.

I was asked the same question as above on the ship about wanting to be in the SL when I could go anywhere as a Star Class. My response was I can go anywhere on the ship, but there are very few places where you can enjoy beautiful water views and bar service in air conditioning. They even had a very nice buffett. So even if I could go anywhere I chose the SL for my pre-dinner drinks. Keep in mind Pinnacles could enjoy their drinks as well in any area of the ship with the coupons and many Sky Class guests may not have been Diamond and could not get drinks any where else.

On the last night we were going to go to CK as we wanted something quick. As we were looking at the menu the Manager asked if we had reservations and we said no and was about to say they were full when he noticed our cards and asked us what time. I asked him if they were slammed tonight and he said yes and I said that's okay we can make other arrangements. He looked relieved!

The genies could not reserve seats for the concerts or special events. It was only after I spoke personally after some executives asked me about the Star class experience did I bring up my disappointment about no reservations for MB and Billy Ocean after the genies tried unsuccessfully to grant those wishes. I will have to say within 10 minutes they had a solution to allow us early access before the doors opened for Star Class guests.

Have seen it, really tacky. :o And that man was very rude to the crew members also as he threw his weight around pretending to be Pinnacle. That man has just recently made it to actual Pinnacle.

There are rude and insensitive people in all walks of life and all levels of C&A. But fortunately for us, they are in minority. Most people are kind and thoughtful. I have many wonderful Pinnacle friends that we enjoy associating with. I think for some, when they see a rude person wearing a Pinnacle tag...they just assume that all of them are like that. Shame.

Really? Someone's tried it? Too funny. I must have missed that thread. Someone link it!

I personally wouldn't wear one if I got there (which I won't). Not my style to wear an 'identifying status' item, and besides, it's vacation! I barely want to put on a swimsuit cover up, let alone extra jewelry.

Just read on a different site that star class passengers disembarking Harmony today got a 15% future cruise credit along with a letter apologizing for the inconveniences.

I was in Star and did not receive a letter and we were one of the last ones off at 9:45. I will be posting my experiences when I get my thoughts together. Was is the same experience as other times. Yes and No.

I've been following your thread here with great interest. As a PC Member since 2012, I find it very disturbing as to the behavior of some.

Back when the level was created (January 21, 2011), it was just another level in C&A. But, during the course of the year, the Charter PC Members (those that had 100+ cruise credits prior to the conversion) were not happy with their benefits because they were only getting what D+ were getting and nothing special. RCI, again, created a level and but never thought out the logistics of the level.

Most of the PC Members are very nice but then there are those select few PC Members that believe that they are "entitled" to all the benefits because they paid to become Pinnacle. Nobody held a gun to their head and made them cruise on RCI.

RCI's biggest mistake was when they told PC Members that they would be issued Gold SeaPass Cards and be entitled to Suite Privileges. This was back on November 11, 2011 when the email was sent out.

So, now "entitlement" comes into the picture and it has escalated above and beyond what RCI expected and which was pretty evident on the recent President's Cruise. Everyone wants to be Pinnacle because they have reached the top............it reminds me of high school where Seniors ruled!!

Cruising is a choice of vacation. The number of cruises that one does is also a choice. Cabin selection is a choice and should be all benefits should be honored.

RCI created a monster when they decided to create Pinnacle Club. And the sooner they realize it and do something about it, the better cruising will become for everyone.

Just off our first and last President’s Cruise. We were in a suite. We chose to pay dearly for it.

Tried to enjoy the Suite Lounge ( perks we paid for) and actually had PC cruisers tell us to get out of the chairs we were sitting in because they were “their seats” because that’s where they always sit. It was like sitting in the elderly people’s pew at church. Entitled rude behavior all week.

We watched an elderly woman scrape all the desserts off the trays in the suite lounge into a to go container. I did utter “seriously??” under my breath at which point she said F you to me. All righty then. Don’t think my grandmother has ever uttered that word in public but whatever. She really wanted all those desserts I guess.

Never again will we pay the price of a small car to experience such bad behavior and to be treated like dirt by fellow passengers. Staff was amazing.

We were there on a much needed vacation. We were there to have fun. A few bad apples did spoil the whole bunch.

We did meet two very nice PC at dinner one night but that was it. The SL was a total nightmare - never again.

Cruise number 21 will probably be on a different line just to see if the grass is greener.

Thank you. More validation. Pinnacles are ruining Royal Suite Class. RCI needs to give them their own space or at a minimum take away their access to SL/CK so those that paid a premium for a suite don’t get screwed like a lot of us have.

The biggest mistake is The PC member wearing the pins. Its just a piece of souvenir and recognition from the company.

I even asked my friend who is PC Member's why you need to wear it.The answer is to get the staff member know his status.

Then I told him when I was in Michael Club on Celebrity you won't even know who is Zenith member in the lounge because no one ever wear the pin at any occasion and not even during the senior officials party night in Michael Club.

Ok, just off the President's Cruise, this was our 3rd CLS, and despite booking a CLS for the suite lounge we did not use it. When we went we were treated like 4th class citizens, cooperate and star class first, pins, and then us. There was always a wait for CK or a seat in the lounge.

In the past as Suite guests we enjoyed a suite reception ( not) , sail away on helipad (not), treats from the kitchen ( not). Bar service consisted of us getting our own drinks and ended up going to Schooner Bar for better service ( D+).

I was told by a Pinnacle that the Suite Deck was for Special people and I was not welcomed. Pinnacles did not wait in line for Micheal Bolton.

Barefoot beach was more crowded then any other beach and had no special perks

I had a good time, but the 50th cruise Event booking a balcony, why bother spending extra money.

I would suggest that you (and all other star class members who experienced this) send emails to Michael Bayley about your experience. mbayley@rccl.com,

If that happened to me I, even as a Pinnacle, would take a picture of the person with my phone and go directly to the Guest Services Manager and inform them the Concierges are not doing their job and make a formal complaint. Have your friends do the same. They will pull the person aside and give them the riot act and a warning. Multiple occurrances and they will get tossed off the ship. I have personally seen that happen. Complaining on CC does no good but taking formal action does. Concierges work for GSMs. They keep a profile of guests so enough complaints and they could get banned. Being complacent and taking no action gets no where. As stated, write, not email, Bayley and one of his Executive Assistants will contact you via phone. It works as I personally have experience doing this.

People like that give Pinnacles a bad name.

Yes, the martini party. I think I was pretty slammed. Sorry we didn't chat more. Your comments make sense, but I was only referring to Star Class. Way different than Sky perks.

Dazzles was a good choice, I think you could get frozen drinks with your pkg. Not so up on 17.

I do know I saw Genie towels at the early DSB show, and pretty sure it was a Genie involved in WineGate. Interesting that you could not get that.

Safe travels

Partially correct, but there were 5 times as many on President cruise as yours. [emoji6]

I predict no changes on the vast majority of cruises in the next year. Symphony TA will be a good barometer.

I have no idea how many pinnacles are sailing on Harmony of the Seas currently (October 6th). We are Sky Class CLS. We are experiencing no issues what so ever. I am only platinum. Prime in casino. I went to guest services as the line was nothing and I didn’t want to bother them (it’s not in my nature). He saw us and asked that next time we ask him to let him handle it for us. Thought it was kind.

We are younger. 28 and 35. No looks no issues no nothing. I throughly enjoyed your review Andy but at this point I believe you are beating a dead horse.

I'm told 50. Many are B2B from last week.

Don Quixote comes to mind. Or maybe that's me. [emoji6]
