Sailed in this morning. The weather wasn't that good, but it was still amazing. We're about to sail away. It's no longer raining and overcast, so should be even better.

Food in SD has been great.

 

Offerings in WJ have been plentiful & of good quality. The Indian Curries have been very tasty.

MDR has been a disappointment. Rushed, smaller portions & not the quality I remember, but it has been a while since on Royal, as went to X & Azamara for last 7 years.

Been port intensive, so easier to eat in WJ I admit, but still, MDR not great (not knocking service btw).

so im basically on a brand new ship when i sail?

Currently in Split on Vision OTS.

 

Interesting sailaway from Venice, big protest in the canal from locals wanting cutbacks on cruise ships. Lots of police in speedboats & jet skis trying to ward them off, but fireworks sent over the open pool deck & onto a balcony. No big deal in reality

 

Anyway, any questions now only a few days left, fire away.

Have you tried to access the HDMI inputs to allow TV viewing with a Fire Stick or personal device yet ?

 

We just had some trouble doing this on Freedom.

TV is very basic. Not interactive, limited channels, meh.

Man we love Vision. Sailed her B2B last year and a week with friends before that. Looks like we’ll get one more in March before she’s gone from Galveston for good.

Main band is 4 piece, not my style, but they get people up dancing. Nice little 3 piece, do Spanish & English music.

Guy plays piano & tells rubbish jokes in Schooner, but think he's leaving ship.

Classical duo.

Piano player.

 

Will look for activities on the compasses, which I've kept .

During Captain's Corner this AM, Captain Marek clarified that it would be a dry dock, not a major refurbishment. He said it would be IT and underwater work, with some carpet changes in public areas. It's a short dry dock, so wouldn't expect any major changes.

There are daily Zumba dance classes.

 

Since this is a very port intensive cruise, the cruise compass might be very different once Vision returns to the US.

Drink vouchers can be used in the MDR during HH according to the MDR staff. In addition, Russell was unexpectedly able to use a voucher in Giovanni's!

That's what I heard also. The usual scheduled underwater checks, no major changes. Will be on her in Spring for B2B2B inc her TA, thanks for all the information...

So since it includes IT and Vision doesn't have the interactive TV's would that call for new replacement TV's to be added ?

 

What I'm getting at is being able to access the HDMI input and use our Fire Stick/Personal Device.

 

Any chance you might have to ask this question?
