Are there binoculars in the CC rooms on Infinity or do I need to bring mine?

Yes, they are not much better than you would get in a Cracker Jack box.

Hopefully, the umbrellas would be at least functional.

We used them last cruise and they were functional.  I could see as good without the binoculars....

We buy umbrellas at the Dollar store and just leave them on board.

I once read that if you want an umbrella just stop by the lost and found at any major airport.   They throw out 1,000 a day after holding them for a period of time.

Yes they are there. You'd be best served to bring your own. The fact that they remain in the room without a big reminder that you'll be charged an outrageous amount of money if you take them (like the bathrobes) perhaps is an indication that most folks don't find them very useful.

The binoculars are rubbish even in the PH, bring your own.

Re umbrellas....I once used the folding one in a Mediterranean port and with a slight puff of wind it was inside out....Following that experience in the Caribbean I took the big sturdy one with me for a showery stroll in the Caribbean and very nearly did a Mary Poppins impression! We buy plastic ponchos from the $ store to use in wet weather in warmer climates and a decent kagool in cooler locations....

I always enjoy it when someone posts a question about the binoculars. Over the years of reading CC, I have found this is one of only two topics on this board that is able to unify everyone's opinion. On every other topic, there will be a variety of opinions, some of which are firmly held and vigorously defended. But this has not been the case with the binoculars - nobody likes them.

OP - as others have mentioned, bring your own binoculars if you anticipate needing them.

What’s the other one? :classic_wink:

(I totally agree on bringing your own binoculars.)

I did not want to hijack this thread, but the binoculars question seems to have run its course. So, to answer your question...

"Should I get my teeth whitened?" generally produces a series of "No" responses :classic_biggrin:

We went to Alaska and read that there were binoculars in the room to use.  A friend of mine had professional quality ones but I figured to cut down what I had to bring.  Big mistake in trying to see wildlife.  Bring your own!
