Toddy709 Posted December 26, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 26, 2019 We are flying in late the eveing before our cruise out of Port Everglades and are just looking for a clean place to lay our heads for a few hours. We would like to find a place that has free airport shuttle, and would like to try to keep it under $150... possible??
RocketMan275 Posted December 26, 2019 #2 Share Posted December 26, 2019 It would help if you told us when you're travelling as prices are seasonally dependent. $150 is very optimistic.
shipgeeks Posted December 26, 2019 #3 Share Posted December 26, 2019 Some of the hotel search sites (sunny.org, hotels.com, expedia, etc.) can be set up to search by price. If you find some that might suit you, you can come back here and ask if anyone is familiar with them. As mentioned, date is crucial.

JohninDC Posted December 27, 2019 #5 Share Posted December 27, 2019 Roadway Inn is probably the cheapest FLL area hotel that is suggested on this board.
HillBilly Bob Posted December 28, 2019 #6 Share Posted December 28, 2019 During high season, $150 is practically impossible. Get away from FLL and you might get close to your budget price.

And 150.00 in high season isn't somewhere I'd want to sleep😉 OP, you're best off finding a hotel that's acceptable at a price you're OK with. Adding a free shuttle to save a few bucks on uber is just going to make your search more difficult. Hotel shuttles aren't pleasant, quick or efficient anyway, always better to uber to port. FYI if this is a winter cruise be prepared to pay more like 200-250.00 or be a long distance from the port.

2wheelin Posted December 29, 2019 #9 Share Posted December 29, 2019 I have stayed there Nov, Feb, Mar, Apr on the beach or within half a block and never paid over $150. Clean, safe, quiet places. Some with free bfst. Use booking.com and last minute travel who you can negotiate with—cheaper as a member, and make a phone call.
Rare JamesEM Posted December 30, 2019 #10 Share Posted December 30, 2019 Another vote for Roadway Inn, not cheap but a good value for one night.
TNcruiser829 Posted December 30, 2019 #11 Share Posted December 30, 2019 I've booked the Sleep Inn in Dania Beach for $170 for Feb 22nd. My first time staying there, but it seemed the best for the buck at that time of the year. FYI, it's now sold out for that weekend.
BlueHerons Posted December 30, 2019 #12 Share Posted December 30, 2019 I would not stay at The Rodeway if they paid me. You can always find less expensive hotels on Hotwire.

bilyclub Posted December 31, 2019 #14 Share Posted December 31, 2019 The Link Motel always come up cheap. The reviews are all over the place. The Morrison is pretty new and cheaper than most.
heatherbean Posted December 31, 2019 #15 Share Posted December 31, 2019 (edited) I was just able to book a room for Hyatt Place Dania Beach for April 2020, for under $160 including tax. It was a prepaid non refundable rate. I've stayed at this location and it was a nice place. They do offer free airport shuttle, and there is a fee for port service (I think it was like $8 or $9 pp). Also, free breakfast if you are a Hyatt memeber. Edited December 31, 2019 by heatherbean
BlueHerons Posted December 31, 2019 #16 Share Posted December 31, 2019 I would skip The Link hotel.
