Dinner tonight in CK. Mike had the escargot and I had the shrimp cocktail. Note to self, shrimp cocktail does NOT go with chocolate martinis. We both had the lamb loin. I have been taking pictures of the desert menus in case others want to see it. Most of the time we skip it.

My ortho wanted to try a cortisone injection in my knees, so I let him do one of them a couple months ago.  I totally get what you're talking about -- it's not the needle or the medicine itself that is so uncomfortable, but the pressure from putting all that volume into a restricted space inside the knee joint.  Fortunately, the pressure feeling subsides quickly.

Agreed, the pain is the pressure, and thankfully it goes away quick.

I always have my eyes and ears open for alternatives and as VV is the new kid on the block, please post pics & your thoughts of the ship. That is, if it's okay with the rest of the gang.

 

The impression I've gotten from others so far is to go with an open mind & forget everything about your previous cruises.  People expecting it to be like Royal but slightly different seem to be disappointed.  Just my gut observations.

Still here.  About 2 hours ago the captain thought the wind was changing and we would be leaving.  You would never know anything unusual happened, bars and entertainment are busy.  Someday we’ll get to go.  Think of what neat stories we’ll have!

I'm pretty sure they do. I get a chuckle out of things like that when I see them. Not because of their lifestyle, but because it's rare to see a pineapple that is supposed to actually be upside down. I have no problem with what they do, it's just not our thing. I did think it was funny when someone turned it the other way around. Pineapple upright, but writing upside down.

Bobcats are beautiful animals but you have to watch any small animals that they may consider dinner. Have also seen possums and raccoons in backyard, once we had a feral cat that we fed along with a possum and a raccoon all wanting me to put out more food.

I think it would be great if you both could post at least your impressions here.  Anything more is appreciated.  I think many are looking at other options right now and having those familiar with Royal giving opinions helps greatly.  Safe travels to you both.
