Hello

We have just booked our first princess cruise after 35 RCI cruises.  We've bought the Princess plus package for internet, tips and DrinksCan anyone advise what is covered in the drinks package?  I like a glass of wine, a beer and a Vodka and Soda (not all at the same time), is this covered or do you need to pay a surcharge?

Thanks in advance.

This is an old and out of date list but will give you a fair idea of what can be had with the package. Basically any drink other than "high end" liquor is included. Wine can be more problematic but there is always wine available in MDR that is within the limit. Vines has higher end wine that isn't included but also has wine that fits within the boundaries of the beverage package. I believe all beer will be included - at least I can't think of any that isn't.

Thankyou for this, looks like I will be ok especially as it can cover juice at breakfast.   I notice it says only one drink at a time, sometimes I like to order a Rum and a separate can of coke to add into it, will they let me have this?

Rum and Coke mixed drink = Fine

Rum and Can of Coke = No  way. You can purchase a can of Coke if you like but can't get it on the package.

Thrak tries to take only 21 day or longer cruises so that at 15 drinks per day, he can try one of each of the drinks he listed.   On a seven day cruise, that is only 105 drinks, far fewer than the selections he listed!!

Welsh, if you order a rum and coke, with the Coke on the side, they will be happy to do that for you as one drink on your package, if the side is in a glass.  But if the "coke on the side" is a can instead of a glass, they will charge you for the can.  I only had one occasion where the bartender gave me a can instead of a glass -- for the $1.50 (or whatever) charge, it didn't make any difference to me.

Juice is no charge at breakfast.

canned cokes not included in the package - only soda from fountain guns

Yes.  Except  for not allowing soda in a can, it is a great package IMO.  Other than some wines, there are very few drinks about the limit.  There were even reports that Princess will allow you to pay the difference for wines and drinks above the limit, but I do not have direct experience with this potential improvement in the package.

Not really!  We like to take cruises that are at least 10 days. We're actually booked for a 7 day cruise next May but have an 18 day booked immediately after. If we have to fly across the country to Florida we might as well sneak in the 7 day "pre-cruise". 😄

The list was just taken out of the old Beverage Package Calculator spreadsheet that was around for a while. I cut out the wine selections that were in it and it looks like I did it poorly and ended up with a big gap D'Oh! Some of the ships have an expanded whiskey menu with lots of stuff that doesn't fit within the boundaries of the PBP but one advantage of those offerings is that they include Bulleit Rye (which does work with the PBP) which isn't normally offered on Princess.

I believed you cruised recently.  I was wondering if you were able to only pay the difference in price for the items that cost more than $12.

On our last two cruises we had a boatload of OBC and included gratuities but didn't have the beverage package. I was hoping to verify that information regarding items over $12 on our next cruises as they all have the PBP included but have no idea when our next cruises will actually be or if they will all be cancelled.

Thanks.

I hope you continue to do well.  Things appear to be a lot more under control in CA, then they are in Northern IL.

I am in the same situation concerning  future cruises.   My next cruise is not scheduled until September 26,      but the French Polynesia government probably will not what any cruise ships.  They only have 55 reported cases of COVID -19 and no deaths.

Yes. I doubt very much that Australia and New Zealand will allow our cruises to take place. Australia seems to be extremely peeved with Princess these days. We just had our 15th confirmed case here in my home town.

My wife was able to do that on the Crown in October.  Didn't have the package on Caribbean in February, so don't know if it is fleet wide.
