The Survey Says???

We all know that Carnival is one of the premier leaders when it comes to the Cruise craze. They are also well known for providing a great "family experience" at a rather reasonable rate.  Not that they need and/or would ever solicit our "sage" advice but should Carnival initiate some sort of "Carnival Cruise Fan Input" survey? We are not able to sit in on any of their elaborate strategy sessions; however, we are the "paying customers" that might actually be able to lend a voice of reason to some of their strategic uncertainties?

I am interested in learning what "Your Answer Is"?

🎱 says  . . .  on an even larger scale, this 'may be' already happening, and with Carnival Corp definitely having a presence to see/hear what the avid consumer has to offer about the current challenging situation/s.

And that's why we should list our "hopes and dreams" here:

I wouldn't mind a price increase for a more upscale experience.  I would eliminate "more than 2 adults" per cabin and limit the size of families in cabins.

I'd like to point out that after every sailing, Carnival sends to their cruisers an email survey doing just what you propose. I think we received that email survey about a week after we got back home.

What's upscale? Can you find what you want on other lines?

To clarify I am aware of the comment cards and surveys that Carnival sends post cruise. I am interested in hearing your viewpoints regarding Carnival needing and/or listening to our input/suggestions regarding them coming back "Safely"?

Carnival has made it clear the more bodies onboard the more spending. Extra cabins being squeezed in. Solo now paying double. The last thing imo they would do is limit how many to a quad cabin.

Remember they make their money from excursions and drinks and casino. Been moving more and more to casino cruises imo. The more bodies the better.

Imo limiting people in cabins is the opposite direction they would go

None of us are qualified to make suggestions as to the safety of cruising. I'm interested to see how those who are actually qualified to make these decisions solve the problem of distancing on ships.

I don't think they'll be back before there's a vaccine or an effective treatment, so social distancing won't be necessary.  There's no way they can enforce masks or social distancing, which is why they won't be back any time soon

It's time for a change.  More bodies may mean more spending, but less bodies with people that have more money to spend also means more spending.

There are other cruise lines that offer a more upscale experience. That isn’t the demographic Carnival is trying to attract and I doubt that will change when they resume cruising.

There are other cruise lines that offer that.

Most, like me, choose Carnival for the low price vacation they offer.

Hi Jetsfan

Have you had any experience like what you are suggesting with any other company, other than your regular surveys?

These companies do have well paid individuals that they believe are qualified to do their jobs.

Think about it, just sifting though every tom, dick, or jetsfans ideas, would likely be a waste of time. If you look at the position carefully, that is in fact what John Heald does. Go to the FB page and you will see everyone and their uncle commenting on anything and everything. I would imagine, if he (or his helpers) sees an idea that makes sense, he could pass it on, otherwise, how else do you think this could happen, without it being a waste of time and money.

Another thought, as a shareholder, you could go to the shareholders meetings and voice your opinions there. Also, you could just write to the company directors. I think that is as much input as any company wants from their "paying customers". As individuals, we typically would not be valued that much by most companies.

After all that, my thought would be to just let them do their job and if they do it right we might get to cruise again, if they don't, they likely wont have a job.

I actually do have experience in this arena. I was fortunate enough to lead a sales and marketing organization for a few of the largest Corporations in this Country and Abroad. I always stressed to my teams that the best responses will come directly from our "customer base". I really appreciate John Heald for being our Ambassador for Carnival Cruise Lines.  He certainly has the professionalism and wit to keep us all totally informed.

However, my personal experience has been when you rely on a "Third Party" for responses sometimes when those individuals are tallying the numbers/responses they have a tendency to leave out pertinent information. Maybe the responses were too long, too involved or did not accurately align with their personal agendas. They also may tend to provide more "Corporate Correct" vernacular that the "True Grit".
