Simulated cruise offering

Keep in mind that it's between 30 to 45 minutes to the airport...

Thanks for the tip elleluv!

The more I thought about it, I would think (hope?) that the ship would do the normal process where they order the disembarkation based on one's return-home travel arrangements, and that we could be assigned to a group that would get off no later than 10am (to allow for airport travel time, checking bags, security lines, etc.).

Are you a pinnacle? If so I would say that just like with all the other cruises they call different times based on if you have the shuttle from the ship to the airport and all that kind of stuff or you can have Xpress walk off like I like to do and not count on anybody to destroy your luggage.

Don't some people on these cruises get picked as having to isolate in their cabins to simulate an outbreak? Not to dampen the spirit, but I would like to know if I was invited....

Distinct possibility.  However it's 2 nights / 3 days of my life.  Royal needs test subjects to participate.  I'll gladly play the unvaxxed/fake positive/false positive/isolated/whatever... if it means another ship can restart.

Put me in coach... I'm ready to play... a zombie if needed.

There are a lot of ships that need volunteers for test cruises. Odyssey just finished her test cruise and I know of several people from the volunteer group that went on it. I'm glad that Royal was loyal to their Pinnacle members to include them in an offer! I can't imagine how much money it is costing Royal to do these test cruises. It seems unfair to me, but it is what it is.

Vera/Lee, if you don't mind sharing, for your acquaintances that participated in the Odyssey test cruise, did they mention if activities like the iFly (skydiving simulator) and the North Star (ball on an arm 🙂) were available to be utilized by the volunteers on the test cruise?

Sorry, the ifly and the North Star were not mentioned in the blogs I follow or in the pictures that I saw posted. (Chris Wong is a Casino Host on the ship and someone shared his latest video today on Cruise Critic/Royal Caribbean main board. He talked briefly about the test cruise and even shared a couple of interesting photos.)

Great attitude! Looking forward to your pictures and commentary. You provided outstanding coverage when you were on Empress!

Has anyone seen feedback or anecdotal tales on someone assigned the role of un-vaccinated passeger? Or been quarantined for duration of trip?

Bumping this thread back to page 1 to see if anyone has anymore info to share.  🙂

When did you get an invitation for the Oasis test cruise? Yesterday's invites for for Ovation and Allure.

I didn't get an invitation, signed up a month or so ago, and of course being old, I don't remember how I found the link to do it.

At least he Ovation people are getting a real cruise.  Allure folks are just getting a teaser😇

Oasis is a 5 day as well. The one out of Galveston may be 4-5 days also

How many days is the Mariner one?  Will all the P's get invited to that one as well?

I'm guessing 2 days, coco Cay and back. Best run from FL east coast. Tampa would be longer

Any word on a  Brilliance test cruise.  We have a B2B in early September that I suspect will not sail.

Is there an anticipated date.  If we get invited we may try to make it.  Seems fun.

Odyssey already had it this past week, Monday-Wed, schedule similar to Allure's.
