Recent cruisers: Delay in adding crown and anchor points after cruise?

Login to your account, edit your C&A information, erase your C&A  number, then reenter that number and save.   Often times it is updated, it just doesn't show.

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately I tried it and it didn’t work for me.

I had to call. Was told there is a glitch in the system. She had to get a supervisor, who then fixed our account.

How long after you got off your cruise did you call? I’m 8 days out. I’ve tried to call sporadically but the wait times have been too long. I’m hoping that the points will update at the ten day mark as it seems to have done according to other posters

Go ahead and book it, the DP340 promo code can be added later.

I have five cruises booked for next fall under the double points promo that will get the discount added after I hit 340 in May.

Agree.  The discount can be applied later and reduce the balance due. If the OP waits the Cruise With Confidence policy will no longer be in effect after 10/31, and cabin choice might be diminished, too.

I know the points will likely be added by the end of this month, but there's no harm in booking the new cruise now.  The cost will be adjusted for final payment.

If the points take about a week to appear, will we have platinum benefits during the second cruise?

Welcome to CC.

Talk to the Loyalty Ambassador on the first cruise - they can bump you up for the second cruise.

10 days after the cruise, still no points updated to my crown and anchor. The website says it can take up to 10 days but when I called Crown and Anchor I keep getting different answers. One person said up to 30 days, another said 10-14 days, and today I was told 2-4 weeks! I emailed them as well. No response. So much for customer service. Anyone on the oasis 9/19 2021 sailing? Were  you points updated?

So what’s the rush? Why not just wait the 30 days and see?

The reason I am anxious to see that the points are correctly added is that I am inching towards diamond plus. On this recent cruise I should have earned 28 points (7 day cruise means 14 points since I was in a suite, which should be doubled under the double points promotion totaling 28) I am considering booking other suites while the promotion is ongoing in an attempt to reach my goal. Of course I can go ahead and book the cruises and straighten out the points issue later, but I rather know now if there is a problem with my account or if they are just backed up and no one’s points are being added. Apparently other people who have cruised after me had had their points added already so it might just be my account.

To me the greater issue is the conflicting information that I am getting from the crown and anchor society, and that is if they pick up the phone after hours on hold

Unless I've overlooked some recent announcement of an extension, I'm afraid you are too late to get double points for a new booking. You needed to book the new cruise by September 30, 2021.

This is from the C&A website:

The double points offer is exclusive to our most loyal guests, the Crown & Anchor Society members! Members will receive double Cruise Points on bookings made through September 30, 2021 for sailings departing January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2022.

You should have booked those cruises last week. The promo ended September 30th.

Oh no! I didn’t realize that. I was under the mistaken impression that it had been extended until 0ctober 30. Thanks for letting me know. I’m still anxious to get my points updated though. I have discounted offers through the casino that have deadlines. It won’t matter how many points I have to book them but I like to have everything in order

The website says up to 10 days. One representative said 30 days, another said 14 days, and yet another said 2-4 weeks. On the other site that can not be named several people who were on the same cruise posted that their points have already been updated. So it makes me wonder if there is an issue with my account. Would not be the first time

You have mentioned "hold times".  Have you been calling the C&A number?  800-526-9723?

The web site is correct. Having CSRs make up numbers to appease customers seems to be the norm. As mentioned above, call C&A.

Thanks for your reply. At first I was calling a different number but then someone gave me the number you just posted and have had more success getting through. No success resolving the issue though. Oh well.

I’ve called and have emailed. No response to the email. It’s not a big issue, just somewhat frustrating. I’m sure it will work out in the end somehow. I’m  giving it a bit before trying to contact them again.

@renzaIf you are cruising close to reaching the next tier you can go to guest services and get your benefits. Some very helpful people on the "blog that shall not be named" informed me of this and C&A confirmed it. I turn diamond midway through my Jan 16th harmony. I have a Jan 24th mariner a day after disembarking. I was informed I could go to guest services the first day and get my benefits activated, so that way I won't have to get the UBP.
