Say It Ain't So! They've Changed Guy's Fries!

I didn't really notice a change in Guy's fries, in my most humble opinion they're perfectly fine.  I liked them before and I like them now.

I've heard Big Chicken is the hot new thing on Mardi Gras. Looking forward to trying those thin-cut, wide fries sometime next year!

Fries I had on on Valor last month were great. I didn't even want them with my burger. At the seafood shack, thats another story. Those were terrible.

Agree on both counts.  I was pretty underwhelmed with Seafood Shack on Magic when we were on her in September, not just the fries but everything.

that Stroke and Heart Attack are both cardiovascular disease

- one manifests in the brain (what's left of it) ....the other manifests in the heart!!

As someone who works in a cardiovascular ICU, I thoroughly appreciated this post. I consumed enough burgers and fries that I can’t fuss at my patients about their diets for at least a year 🤣

This thread is a great example how no choice will ever please anyone. Most options will always have someone who hates it, someone who loves it, someone who doesn't care.

Guy's is passe.  Shaq's Big Chicken Fries are where it's at.  Have only seen various YouTube videos and read reviews on cc about how good they are.  Will have 2 weeks in February and another 2 weeks over Labor Day to enjoy them liberally.

I enjoyed perhaps 3 MDE (Most Dominant Ever) chicken sandwiches on our August sailing, and 3 more over Thanksgiving week - it was a major "revisit" box on my list. After all, it's the little things! I think I might have tried one other version of their sandwich on our first cruise but, ultimately, went back to the base version. 🙂

I may be in the minority here, but I liked the seasoned fries at Guys. On the other hand, the fries at the Big Chicken were more like thick cut potato chips. They were okay, but they barely qualify as French fries.

Been on three cruises since restart.  I didn’t really notice the change in fries until I read this but I had been thinking the fries  were great and better than before. My vote is for the new ones.  I used to skip the fries most of the time in the past.

At the then-age of about 70.5, I had a STEMI in May last year

- had the LAD stented with another minor block further downstream
but too small to stent .... and so I am cardio-aware!!

I made it to our High Dependency Unit, but never to ICU... thankfully.
They cleared my clot with Tenecteplase, and I was stable after that.

Now then... back to the subject at hand:
The way I consume and enjoy a few French Fries now and then

is to steal one or three off someone's plate -

but never have an order of my own!

I would tend to agree that Guy's is on the decline. Shaq is trending up.

Guy Fieri is past his prime, but I could still go for some fresh cut fries! Can't wait to try Big Chicken on the Mardi Gras or Celebration in 2022.
