A Canadian takes on a S2B2B on Oasis 1/2/22, Odyssey 1/9/22 & 1/15/22 (hopefully)

Last night when we got back to the cabin at around 1:00AM, there was banging and clanging from somewhere.  It was not on the side with another cabin beside us.  It sounded like it was coming from the other side where there is a blank space next to a steel door or maybe underneath us.  That was the last straw and I called Guest services right away to complain and see if they could get the noise to stop. They said they would investigate it.  I put on an audio book and popped in my noise cancelling headphones and went to sleep eventually.

 

I just got a call from Guest Services. They are saying there is nothing they can do about the noise so it will continue but said they would be more than happy to offer us a different cabin.  We were not going to bother but decided to go for it because with the 3 different noise issues, it is now a bit much.  The new cabin is actually just down the hall but it is an oceanview balcony.  Now for the funny part - the cabin # is 8666.  🤣

The Devil is in the details!!  Good luck with the room change I am sure it will all work out.  Has the casino been kind to you?  At least good enough to rack up a few points for the next cruise?  My wife and I saw several jackpots on Oasis in September.  GOOD LUCK!!

Change was very easy.  We are already in the new cabin.  It just across from the elevators which I really like on a ship this big

 

 

Thanks for the luck!  The casino has not been unkind - I am about even I think.  I have had what I consider a couple good wins considering I usually only bet at lower end of the scale.  The best by far was that Heidi win on day 1. I will definitely at least get to the 800 pts for the free interior - I think I have just about 600 now and I still have a few nights to go. As I said, I am not a big better but like to have fun 🙂

Great to hear!!  You sound like you play like my wife and I.  You tread water on there dime (hopefully), rack up your points and get to Prime ASAP.  Hopefully you can hit another decent one before you head over to Odyssey.  I nailed down 1810 points on Oasis and plan on hitting Prime on Odyssey on the 29th cruise.  Good luck

Yup that is me 🙂  We are both luckily already Prime for April. We each have almost 4000 pts from the cruises on the Odyssey & Allure last year.  I am NEVER going to hit the next level so at this point just play for fun and to try to win money of course.  We try to gamble enough for at least one of us to get a half decent onboard offer and so they will keep sending us offers on the site. Hubby only plays tables though. He had a few cruises last year where he did not even hit the 800pts on a cruise according to what they are telling him he earned, but he still got $500 / comp interior offers at the end of the cruises. It's a mystery!

We were back at Izumi Sushi for dinner. 
 

I had the Miso Soup and rice again.  They did not dissapoint.

That is the machine to swipe your card.  it looks like you swipe it yourself so guest services doesnt have to touch your card.

Yes!  All of the bars honour the drink packages.  Just a tip if you want to get a good table get there early!  We had a problem at first finding one on Sunday to watch the game.

I just posted this on the Royal Up thread.

 

Just got notice our offer was accepted on our Jan 15 Odyssey sailing!

 

I had a brief panic attack when I got an email that my credit card was declined. I called my credit card company and apparently, I put in the wrong expiry date.  DUH!  I tried to change the credit card # via the link they sent me, but it did not work and I was getting an error msg.  I hopped on the phone to Casino Royale as there is no phone number for Royal Up.  I got a fantastic agent who I think got on an IM chat with someone who got it all straightened out for us.  They sent us out a second email with the link again and this time I did not have any issues.

 

We were in a standard interior 12703 w/ 3 guests. I think it was a 3V.  We bid on a Spacious Oceanview because we had one in August and it was huge and the starting bid was low. We did not both bidding on any of the other options as they were all standard size cabins and we were going for an increase in sq ft.. The opening bid was $50pp. We bid $60 so a total of $120. We were assigned one of the corner ones 11110. We are all very happy and the extra space is well worth $40 each!  

 

This was a comp casino booking that we had paid to upgrade to a 3rd passenger.

 

We also have a bid in for our Odyssey cruise on Jan 9.  I have not heard on that one yet but the offer is still pending and can be modified.  I just cancelled it and put in my bid again with the CORRECT expiry just in case I fat fingered that one too.
