I know this can't be true but heard from a friend who had a friend who when on a cruise lately that they had to get tested for covid after every port and it cost them $150. No way is this going on!!

Not true.  We have taken many cruises since  September and NEVER had to be tested after any port.

Pretty sure I added this on one of threads but the other options to try for an espresso martini are with Baileys or Frangelica.  Not sure I have a preference, each are great for different times, some lighter than others.  Haven't had cognac but will need to try that.

That sounds interesting as well. I need to try these.

Decided to go to the L&M game show last night and was glad I did. Very funny. CD Dan was great. The middle couple won and might have agreed in advance to several answers as some that they got correct seemed unlikely. Q: name one thing on your wife that you would like to be bigger and one thing that you’d like to be smaller. A: Her chest and her stomach (oooooh…rookie mistake?). The wife was a fairly large woman who didn’t need a bigger chest but she guessed both answers correctly anyway. Most unusual place you’ve ever made woopie?  Family bathroom at a Walmart. They were very entertaining though.

Perfect Day at Coco Cay today. Weather was perfect. Mostly sunny, high 70s, humidity around 70%. We were here with Independence so the crowds on the other hand were not perfect. We planned to stay on the ship but walked a couple of laps around the island for some exercise at 10:00. There were a few loungers left but you really had to look to find them, and they weren’t in the greatest spots. Lots of people still getting off both ships when we returned to the ship.  Not sure I believe that they can fit two Oasis class ships here at once.

We usually sit at Breezy Bay at Chill Island. Close to everything, including the floating bar. They’ve expanded the number of beach beds there (more $$$) and have fewer loungers. The floating bar has been moved to South Beach. I think it may have been there before, but has been at Chill Island our last 2 stops.

The good news for us was that the ship was nearly empty. Enjoyed the pool, the slides, and the suite sun deck. Windjammer was great for lunch as the special was a hot pot. Pick your noodles, veggies, muscles and dumplings plus sauce and they made it fresh. Tasty.

There were 2 Norwegian ships anchored next to us at Great Stirrup Cay…the Sky and the Encore. Sure glad we don’t need to tender into Coco Cay anymore.

We’ve never been L&M contestants, but I think Micheline would match me and say on a golf course.

Oh how my mind can come up with a great line that maybe crass. Let's just say something you can do on a par 3 with one shot.

Not sure what the people limit is on the floating bar but that looks pretty crowded.

The cooked to order stuff like this (stir fry, create your own pasta, etc.) is my picky wife's favorite at WJ. Hoping to find some for dinner when we stop in after our early family sit down dinner as she won't eat a lot from the MDR/CK menu (the standby caesar salad & grilled chicken gets old fast) and I can always eat more.

Not sure how often you pop into the WJ but if you've seen anything else interesting in there, please let me know.

Just asked Micheline what she would answer for the L&M question and she said golf course without hesitating.  I think I’d be in big trouble with the “who’s your wife’s most attractive friend” question.

Remember your first cruise when everything (the questions) were new and everything was so funny?

Getting ready to see Kevin Johnson the comedian and ventriloquist. Saw him previously and he was hilarious. Sitting in our preferred main theater seats… first row of the upper section on deck 4 right on the aisle. Shelf in front to set down your drink/phone/purse, looking over the top of everyone below so no blocked views, easy access to go to the bathroom mid-show.

edit:  Don’t tell anyone about these seats.

Bobmacliberty, are you in those seats right now, waiting to see the farewell show?  I think I see you!

Tried an espresso martini with cognac (Hennessy, not Remy) and it was delicious. I’ve never had a vodka espresso martini so I can’t compare. Can’t drink too many of those as the espresso will keep me awake. I try to avoid caffeine after noon.

Thanks for your impression. If you get a chance and try one with vodka and let me know which one you liked better.

Had the pork belly and the scallops for apps. Pork belly was very good. Scallops were ok but a little chewy. For our entree, we had the chateaubriand for 2. Although the menu says for 2, they can serve it for an individual, so you can order different meat temps.  I got mine medium rare and Micheline got medium. Mine was perfect, Micheline’s was a little bit dry (I keep telling her that medium rare is the way to go!). We had a couple of nice Cabs to wash it down. Finished with the fried cheesecake. Yum.  Overall, a very good meal. Unfortunately, no food porn. I can never remember until it’s too late. I’d still put our Izumi sushi meal at the top of the list.

The SL is out of both Makers Mark and Buffalo Trace. Wild Turkey 101 Old Fashioneds then.

The Lobster Thermidor is awesome too.

WT 101 is awesome. Do they have Templeton Rye? If so try this.

SHIRLEY TEMPLETON

2 oz. Templeton Rye 4 Year

4–7 oz. Lemon-Lime Soda

Dash of Grenadine

Rocks Ice

Maraschino Cherry Garnish
