I thought there was no double pricing on Solo cruises for solos.

I got quotes from both the casino for the 2 that qualified and then from my PCC on the other. First last night I get call from the casino department that I owe another just under $500 and now from the PCC I owe another just under $1,000.

and now I am told that it only applies to the Inside or OV I was offered.

Yet I had 2 confirmations that confirmed all in place and an email from my PCC - she was wrong - OMG

I am looking at over $1300 extra.  I didn’t want to bother my TA because I knew there was little in it for her.  Now I wish I had.

Double charge for solos on a casino rate?

And new charges after booking with the “I made a mistake “. Seriously?

Suggestions?  I’m past final payment so I am screwed and in tears.  If I had known, I would never have switched my cruise.

HAL has so many casino offers out there I have no idea which offer you received. However I have never heard of HAL charging additional money for a solo cruiser on a casino offer. Was the offer for a free cabin, a discounted cabin, a percentage off a cabin or free play in the casino? Possibly a combination of both?

One was just a free cabin and the other a cabin and free play. I paid regular price for the other.

I did upgrade to a VH and then used Club Orange   I was given the pricing and took it..

Now, I was told to not being dinged for being a solo - now I had to stick with the original offer.  I never ever saw that on these boards.

And if I switch back down. I will be penalized.   I think the PCC screwed up the bookngs.

I didn’t want to bother my TA with this as I knew there was little or no money for her

I have called a supervisor.  She is reviewing.  We’ll see. I have a really bad taste in mouth and by the way HAL, stop thanking me for being a 5* mariner.  Fix it

Now I am wishing I had called my TA.  And my first casino offer I accepted.

By the time they are done it’s not much of a savings when I take my casino discount in play.  Depressed 😞 Will report back if i have any luck but I have low expectations and really ticked being given quotes, cofmrations and emails and now I owe more.  WTH?

The upgrade is what is getting you. Let me give you an example of what I dealt with on Tuesday. I get a Free Neptune Suite guaranty. I wanted to upgrade to an SB aft wrap for an Alaska cruise next May. In order to upgrade my PCC MUST contact the casino division and get an upgrade price from them. The upgrade price my PCC received from the casino division was $1855 per person. That isn't happening. Even my PCC said that price was to high. For now I will stay with the SC guaranty as i know my PCC has me covered. My wife also received the same offer. Our PCC has always told us that if you can't get anyone to go you can use the extra space for my wife's clothes. The one thing I do know is that my PCC has booked at minimum 20 cruises for us through casino offers so she is very familiar with how they work. When you went to upgrade your PCC should have contacted the casino to get you the correct amount.

Thanks for explaining.  I booked the VH with the casino department so I thought the price should have been right.  Just had my PCC add the one that was not a casino rate and add CO.  If I had known the ‘real’ price I would not have made the decision I did. Adding CO lets you choose a cabin in that category was my understanding.  I think the PCC did something with all the bookings. I guess I am between a rock and a hard place now 😔

I received a free interior room but the price showing up online is $99.00 will I receive this back in on board credit?

By what method was the offer received(mailer, online email)?  This is a new one charging $99.  Is there fine print anywhere?  When I booked my upcoming $200 per person, it stated on offer I would receive $200OBCpp.  My BOOKING CONFIRMATION also reflects this.

I received the offer by email, log into my account and this is what it is showing.  I also contacted the PCC and she said she is contacting the Casino to find out where the OBC is.  The confirmation (I have not paid yet) is not showing the OBC, still waiting for a reply from the PCC.  I searched for the fine print and do not see anything about receiving OBC.

How interesting no fine print.  If there is no reference to OBC I am guessing none is involved.  Was it advertised as a free cruise?   Please keep us posted.  Thank you.

Always book those offers thru your PCC since you have one. Never book them online!

Does HAL allow you to book a casino offer through your Pcc.   On Celebrity, i just received an offer and it had to be made directly through casino consultant and all maintenance of the cruise had to be made through casino consultant or online through manage my reservation.  PCC said they did not have access to maintain the booking.  I much rather the idea of being able to do it through PCC,

Hi!  Thanks for posting this offer.  Would you mind sending a shot of the fine print including the Campaign Number?  Thanks.  Jim

Anyone have an opinion on which HAL ship has the best casino (I know someone will say "only the one you win in").  I thought the Statendam had a small casino and I'm not sure I like the "tap" card system but I have only used it once.

We are sailing on the NS on November 5 on a casino cruise.  What was your experience with cocktails in the casino?  I plan to have cash on hand for tipping.

The PCC finally figured it out.  I pay the port taxes and the PCC sends the balance $198 to the casino and they pay this amount.  The problem is I can't purchase any extra's until this is paid.

Hi, I posted the response from the PCC below.  With this type of offer, the PCC sends the invoice for $198 to the casino and they pay that portion.

We actually didn't use a casino offer for this cruise (other than casino "welcome back" cash). We had no issue with drinks. I played mostly slots in the non-smoking room (which is small) and they were pretty attentive.

Th whole fleet is going to the tap card system if they haven't already.

I'd really like to begin receiving freebie casino offers from HAL.  Presently, I havent sailed with them and receive great offers from Princess, MSC, RCL and Carnival (I never did sail on Carnival, havent sailed on MSC or RCL in years but continue to receive freebie casino offers).  I wonder how I can get HAL to check out my play at Princess and whichever lines they are connected to and consider me for a freebie with perks.  Any suggestions?
