So sad to see the news of the Queen’s death.

Thanks for your acknowledgment…a lot of us very sad in the UK at the moment. One of those rare people, royal or otherwise,  who gave her full life to service and duty…

Iain being British, is also very sad.   Even though from Scotland he and his family truly loved and respected Queen Elizabeth's unwavering loyalty and service to the country.

It was incredible.  So sweet and tender.   I loved it so much I even sucked the meat out of the legs.

I saved the claw meat til the very end.  My favorite part of a lobster.

My ex wife is Canadian.  We went to her family reunion in Cape Breton in 2007.  We had to pay 40.00 for a lobster dinner at the firehouse.  It included the lobster, sides and dessert.   After I ate the lobster, I was then asked was I ready for my 2nd lobster.  I was stunned, they were HUGE and delicious.  I ended up freezing some of it and we brought it back with us to Ontario and made lobster Mac N Cheese.

Now I'm going to show may -- When home from University while living in Massachusetts I worked at a lobster place.   Thursday was double lobster night and we served 2 each 1 1/2 pound lobsters for 19.95.

I can't even calculated how many lobsters I must have  killed prepping them for baked stuffed lobster.

I use to make myself Lobsters Sandwiches for lunch out of just Claws... Amazed I didn't get fired but was told I could make myself anything I wanted for lunch.

Couldn't have said it better. In a once again turbulent world, it's much more than the loss of monarch that we mourn. Such an incredible example to us all.

The Queen passed away in Scotland at her favourite holiday home, Balmoral.

She will be moved to Edinburgh, so the Scottish people can pay their respects, before being taken to London (Windsor?) for the funeral.

Captain just came on and said Hurricane Earl has formed and heading toward the North East

Last night he made the decision to speed up to 22 knots to get around the projected seas.  Correct decision and we are in calm water.

Next weeks cruise may just skirt it.  The Captain is really good.

Forgot to mention.  We sailed at 98% Capacity based on double occupancy.   If I recall correctly there are  2060 passengers

(Not max capacity if all rooms full to capacity)

Really doesn’t feel full.  High 75+ guest count and most eat around 5 and are room after first show.   Casino has been very busy on Chic nights.

At High Noon the Master of Summit came over the PA system with a heartfelt tribute to Queen Elizabeth, followed with 3 Long Blasts of the horns.

Very moving and absolute silence aboard the ship.

Very touching….

For those of you all on these B2B2 and B's. How are they handling check for each subsequent cruise? We are on our first B2B since he app has been in use and have had to select a check in time. We are, as of now, going to be Covid tested in port at Celebrity's expense,  prior to reboarding on the turn around day. I can select anything check in from 1130 on. We do want to get off the ship for a bit in Civitavecchia. What check in time would you suggest to allow for shore time and the Covid test?

Select anytime. We select a late one as it doesn't matter for the second leg or how many legs  so someone else may get a better time.

I just call it TWBC. Teeny weeny bladder club.

Reminds me of being told by some mean boy in high school that I was president of the IBTC (Itty Bitty Titty Committee).  I didn't realize at the time that I would come to appreciate the days of itty bitty titties. 🤣

For subsequent cruises you can just ignore the check in for subsequent cruises using the App.   B2B's are processed separately than other cruisers.  You have 2 choices.

1.  You are given a Transit Pass and can use it to go ashore prior to the group B2B processing.   If you go ashore you can not rejoin the cruise until general boarding begins and at that time or time of your choosing you present the card and are directed to a special desk for B2B processing.   No time is needed.

2.  If you choose to be processed with all the B2B's you meet in a designated location and once the ship is zeroed out they process you.   In some ports they take you ashore for 15 minutes and then return you to the ship and in others like Boston and San Diego they do it aboard.   After you are given your new sea pass you have free run of the ship for about 2 hours until general boarding begins.   You can also leave the ship at this time and just use your sea pass to return.

If B2B testing is required they will arrange it usually the day before embarkation.  You are given a time and just show up and they swab you.
