Hello Radio!  I don’t see any crew members at the food stations in your pic at Windjammer.

Was it just too early, or are they back to self service?

I know you're posing your Q to the OP here, but I can comment that it's been self service since at least May.

Well, thanks robmtx, where the heck have I been?

I admittedly haven’t spent much time on CC as I once did, but recall seeing someone’s video walking through one of RCCL’s Windjammers  pointing out that cruisers weren’t able to serve themselves, BUT….. I’ve been wrong before! 😆

Perhaps it was much longer ago than I recall.

Hello Radio.I'm really enjoying your day by day review. We will be on board Oct. 16. I would hope they have resolved the issues at the Aqua show by then. I just have a couple of quick questions. Do you know if the water slides on the ship are open on Perfect Day day? Also just your opinion on the best pay restaurant to try. Thanks in advance and enjoy the rest of your cruise(s).

Hi great "Live" as usual!

Can you tell me if there are any on demand or PPV movies on the cabin TV?   >Snip<.🙁

Yes, there were about 40 different pay per view movies available for rent.

There are some crew members in some stations, but everything is self serve for most areas.

The Top Tier Event was held in Studio B this morning, and Oasis of the Seas Hotel Director had a very popular announcement. Oasis of the Seas will be getting the Starlink at Sea system installed in October 2022.

Thank goodness. Streaming on my last cruise was terrible with VOOM.

We’ll be on the Oasis Nov 27th sailing.  Thank you so much for this live trip report.  I’m enjoying it so much.  Was it difficult to book your shows and any dinner reservations?   Prior to covid I though you could book the shows prior to sailing.

Thank you

Sue

Come join our roll call for the Nov 27th Oasis sailing, its a small (but mighty) roll call so far😎

Hello everyone and good morning.Welcome to DAY 6 of "LIVE" from Oasis of the Seas.

Today is a beautiful day at sea on Oasis of the Seas. We have sunny skies, just a few clouds, and calm seas. Over the last few days I have been waking up to cloudy skies with on and off light rain.

Last night I really wanted to watch Disco Inferno and the 60 Seconds or Less Game Show. I missed both of them. I was down for the count before 9:00 pm. I was however able  to watch the Headlines Showtime with Aeromyth. They are an Aerosmith tribute band, they are very good.

Today there will be fun activities on the open decks and inside. The shops on board open at 10:00 am, and passengers will be in line for the 2 for $25 t-shirt promotion on Deck 5. Vitality spa on Deck 6 is also running spa promos throughout the day. Today and tomorrow passengers maybe spending a lot of money for Oasis of the Seas retail and  services.

I had breakfast for the first time in The Windjammer Marketplace on Deck 16. I arrived when they opened at 6:30 and there were no lines and very few passengers in there. All of the food was very hot and fresh. This was unlike many of the reviews that I have read before coming on board this week. Many  passengers have reported that there were lines everywhere, the food was cold, and people were standing around eating eating their breakfast because they could not sit down. Between 6:30 and 7:00 when I was there, there may have only been about 40 passengers in the Windjammer.

There are a lot of activities planned today. Let's see what the day brings. Yes, I will be going to Casino Royale this afternoon.

Here are a few pics. Thanks for tuning in.

Hello everyone and good day. Today was a nice day. The weather is one of the things that makes a cruise very nice or very bad. The weather today was perfect. It was 85° and sunny by 10:00 am. We had a few clouds a light breeze and no rain all day.

The Top Tier event was crowded. Crown and Anchor members filled up Studio B. The Captain, The Hotel Director, and the Loyalty Ambassador all had nice things to say about the Loyalty of the passengers on board. The Loyalty Ambassador shared the number of C&A members on board.

1193 Gold
358 Platinum
286 Emerald
506 Diamond
316 Diamond Plus
42   Pinnacle Club

They briefly mentioned Icon of the Seas, but also suggested in the same breath that they don't have any information on it. Why bring it up?

The pool decks were wall to wall with passengers today. It was very crowded, and very loud on Deck 15.  The perfect Storm, Flowrider, and Ultimate Abyss all had lines. But it seemed like everyone was having a lot of fun.

Tonight was formal night, and I enjoyed dinner in the MDR. The thing I don't like about a single table is that they are very close to other tables. I know it's difficult but I would like it if the tables were a little further apart.

Here's something different. The waiter suggested they can only bring out 1 Lobster Tail but if you want more just ask and they will bring you a 2nd one.  In other words, passengers who are used to ordering 4, 5 or 6 tails can still have them, but not brought out on a platter.

Here are a few pics from today. Thanks for tuning in.

Funny how the same dessert, Baked Alaska, has changed on the ships over the years.  I remember when whole round ones were flambéed in the dining room.  Then they brought individual round ones to each table.  Then they had a ridiculous version that was served in oval ramekins.  Looks like they are now up to a jellyroll style.  What next?

Don't you just love it when you don't have to read this, at least this week.  But then, it will be your turn next week.

WE will be leaving on a B3B on Allure in 2 weeks.

@Radioon our 8.28 Oasis sailing my DH and I ordered the lobster tail dinner and we each asked for 2 extra tails.   We were both served one dinner plate with 3 tails.   We saw 8 person table next to us get 2 big plates with several tails placed in center of table.   This was deck 5 of MDR.

We always enjoy a piece of Barramudi and our waiter brought out a nice size filet for us to share with our lobsters.   Delicious full dinner that night😀

Wow, it sounds like the process may have changed since then.

Hopefully it will be much, much better than

what they have now.  I wouldn't mind paying a little

more if it's a better system.

I don't think the prices will increase until all of the "bugs" are worked out. . .

Radio, GREAT STUFF as always! Love the high quality videos as we sail vicariously through you 🙂

Question on Nassau if I may. It has been noted that it is a pretty long walk from Oasis dock to terminal street area. It appears that they have now installed coverings at least to shade from sun. As someone that has some respiratory problems long hot walks are not in my wheelhouse anymore. Is walk as much as it appears distance wise?

Also curious, do you still have to leave ship on B2B and reenter/checkin for second sailing? As many sailings as we have done through the years Linda and I have never actually done a back to back. But we have seen groups of B2B'ers walked through pier side terminal area.

Thanks

George in NY - Oasis 10/2/2022 we're ready!

You won't believe it , but my favorite is/was the Coconut Creme Brulee and the sugar free Coconut Cake, neither of which they serve any more 😭I guess the regular Creme Brulee is now my favorite.  And of course I can't resist any of the Chocolate Strawberries!!!

At the end of each cruise, Customs requires all passengers pass through immigration , and then they all allowed to board again. No luggage or checkin is involved with the process.
