No vouchers are issued. You have unlimited drinks from the Captains Club menu of drinks from 5:00-7:00. See above post. Correct not on embarkation day.

Doesnt everyone miss getting drink coupons 🤣

it was a big deal to get coupons , that way we didn’t have to go to the mad house in Sky Lounge for drinks and we could chill at Sunset Bar

Celebrity should follow RCL and give Elites 4 drinks a day at anytime ! 😁🥃🍷🍻🫖

I took my first RC cruise late last year, and I loved getting the drinks when I chose. I also loved that I could get the drinks I wanted, rather than what the Captain’s Club  has posted on a list.

Having drink vouchers on Celebrity does not make sense to me.  Why do you need drink vouchers  when everyone gets the classic drink package, unless you specifically book cruise fare only.

There are enough post about HH , that it appears a lot of people are booking sail only option

Apparently so.  It just makes me wonder why, if drinks during any hour at any bar is important, someone would book cruise fare only.

One of the reason I prefer Celebrity is the included drink package, wifi, gratuities, and OBC.  Granted, I know I could order all of these individually on Celebrity and Royal but I like the "easy button' way of doing it that Celebrity offers.

You can book a drink package on Royal also, and it is just clink of a button to add gratuities when you book , Wi-Fi is it really worth it , since it so crappy anyway

We booked a free cruise with blue chip club  and will be the first cruise with out the beverage package. We are elite plus now so we are not going to get the bev. package and see how we can take advantage of beverages in Tuscan breakfast and happy hour and just purchase a few through out the day .

Yes, but have you compared the price of the drink package on Royal to that of Celebrity's?

As for WiFi - After close to 40 cruises, I have found WiFi to be acceptable to me.  I always make sure I have a strong signal to the ships access point.  However, what is acceptable to me might not be acceptable to someone else.  I started with 1200 bps telephone modems.  That taught me to be patient.

"a lot of people are booking sail only option"---- That's us.

Why you ask ??

We are non-drinkers, don't require more than the 90 minutes of free wifi ( Elite perk ), and the gratuities are added on to our account daily.

We do enjoy the HH appetizers in the Sky Lounge ( another Elite perk ) with a diet coke or non-alcoholic beverage and meeting some fellow passengers.

( We all know the " routine " questions-- it's all good ).

Exactly and I feel that is why Celebrity brought the cruise only fare back.
Would you prefer to have four vouchers that you could use at any time or being able to have your 'unlimited drinks' at most venues during a two hour window daily, since that they are no longer doing the Happy Hour reception in the Sky Lounge.

Just to be clear, the Elite happy hour perk is irrelevant if you have a premium drink package (and/or are staying in a suite)....correct?

That is correct.   It is also irrelevant with the classic drink package.

I don't want to carry vouchers around with me all day.

" Years " ago, when we were given 3 vouchers per day ( I believe they were dated for each day of the cruise ?? ) I used to give them to a Waiter who told me he was able to redeem them for tips.

(Whether it was true or not, I didn't know).

Perhaps Celebrity was aware of this and changed the system ??

I can't blame you there but I believer that if Celebrity re-instituted vouchers they would be on your Sea Pass card vs being printed like in the 'old days.'

I would think the higher-class line could do better and give 5 or 6 per day! 🙂

We also had a comp blue chip cruise and no drink package a few months ago.  We always got the premium package and wondered if it was worth it.  It was our chance to try it out.  We are elite so we had the 5-7 HH and also played in casino where drinks were comped.  I understand the quality there  is not there but for the few we had it was fine.  So we also ordered a bottle of Sake and a few glasses of wine at dinner(sometimes we carried our drinks from the casino to dinner)  and drinks during our 7 day cruise and it came to less than $350.  We did seem to drink less.

It was kind of fun to see how it worked out.  We are again on a cruise-only fare next month and will certainly go without a drink package.  In May we have a drink package so imagine we will have a few more drinks during day.

Being Elite, playing in the casino and not over drinking and being older makes no drink package work for us.

Let us know how it works out for you.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the CC HH in the Sky Lounge with snacks is no longer. The Sky Lounge is no longer reserved from 5 to 7 PM for the CC HH.  Pick your own bar from 5 to 7 and enjoy your beverage of choice. Stop by the OVC and grab a snack if you want one with your drinks. 😉

Celebrity already loads your unlimited CC HH drinks on your Seapass card for the limited hours each evening. Same a a voucher. Same as having the CBP or the PBP.
