My problem seems to get worse when alcohol is added into the mix so I need to choose my lounge location wisely.

Yes, as noted by my Doctor of Medicine, our main processor clocks are inversely proportional to the alcohol blood level.

This is not a good thing for those who enjoy an Unlimited Alcohol Beverage Package. My internal quartz piece cannot endure such challenges. I need to be disciplined but I celebrate and encourage others to live to the fullest without my shortcomings.

Still, "We endeavor to persevere" in our efforts. 😁

If I understand correctly this change only affects disembarkation day. I’ve never had an alcoholic drink on that day so I guess I’m okay with it. I am doing a B2B in April so don’t really know how this new policy would apply. Any recent B2Bers please chime in.

Are you ever up past midnight on the last night?  If not then you are right, it doesn't affect you unless you want to get a specialty coffee in the morning.

Not usually up past midnight - didn’t even know I could use my vouchers in the past for specialty coffee. Does this change cancel that freebie?

We take lots of back to back Cruises and I have never had an alcohol  drink early the last  morning. Once we tried and couldn’t find  an open bar. Everything closes by 9am or earlier. I did occasionally  use a voucher to get a specialty coffee from Café latitudes.  Now I simply pay a few dollars.

That is still a bit unclear. Some folks are reporting pulling it off.

A 1% person said they miss staying up past midnight and binging the next days drinks, then abstains during the day. Basically drinks every other day.

Used to work with the old midnight reset.

It isn’t just  alcoholic drinks - it is fresh orange ( which may/may nor be available), coffee, Soda, water for pre-loading. Some people find all sorts of ways to use their coupons, YMMV.

Just off Jewel of the Seas today. I can report that myself (and other D+ as well) did NOT get vouchers honored at the deck 13 disco (Vortex) for 14-nights, after midnight to 4:59 AM, on each night. The bar staff (and lead Vortex bartender) could not be convinced that a policy change was made on 12/15/22 to 4:49 AM. Multiple attempts with the Loyally Ambassador (who was totally useless), both the Asst and Food & Bev Mgr. to resolve the issue ended in NO results. Staff got to the point they would run in a different direction when seen out and about on the ship. I finally resorted to using all of my vouchers pre-paid before midnight and hoping (and preying) the bar staff would honor drinks after midnight. No amount of tipping per drink seemed to have any affect.  I am really disappointed in the Jewel staff that were involved, but the bottom line is - they did not want to hear about the voucher policy change and took NO (zero) action to resolve it.

Otherwise, it was an awesome 14-night (B to B) cruise!

WOW!  That is a very convoluted twist by staff interpreting the new policy. The staff created "black-out" hours between 12am and 4:59am. Almost the worst of both possible policies. 😬

I'm confused. If you were out of vouchers before midnight, why would you expect to get free drinks after midnight.

After the first night of not being able to use them after 12am, and not getting anyone to agree with the "new policy".  Instead of losing the use of the vouchers after 12am to 4:59am on the second night, they used them before midnight for the rest of the cruise.

Never expected free drinks after midnight. Could not use vouchers between 12am and 4:59am onboard.

Onboard Anthem now since 1/2/23.  The vouchers have been a bit of a poop show.  We are D+ and were using all of ours last cruise during the day and did not have any issues, but heard lots of stories where vouchers were not showing up properly for others (ie people would only have used 1 during day then tried to use one after midnight only to be told they had none left, etc). This was not just on last night - I am talking every night.

This week we have been working during the day so no time for day drinking and have used no vouchers during the day Tues-Fri.  We drink for free in the casino and like to use the D+ vouchers when we listen to music.  The last two nights we have tried to use them after midnight and were told we have only 1 or none left.  Yesterday I even asked a bartender in the casino to check our cards earlier in the evening so if showed less than 5 left each I could go to Guest services and get them to figure it out.  He confirmed we had 5 left each and just like the day before, no drinks were posted on account.  We went to the Music Hall to listen to the DJ later and tried to order a drink and they said we had none left and charged us.  Hubby went to guest services this morning to get the charge reversed and they told him tons of people are having the same issue.

Seems like they made the problem they were trying to fix worse.

To be clear, each night I would usually have upwards of 4 of my 5 D+ vouchers that would be unused, just prior to the stoke of mid-night. Since the bar staff would not honor any unused vouchers 1 minute after midnight (nightly), I would tell the bar staff shortly before midnight , to process all of the unused vouchers (kind of like "pre-paying" for a drink). I would then use the "pre-paid drinks" in the wee hours of the morning (tipping of course for each drink). The only problem with that plan, is the one bartender that processed the vouchers would often leave the bar area for a "break" or to wash glasses or whatever and trying to convince other bartenders I have a "prepaid drink" already, was a comedy by itself. This plan especially was compounded by others doing the same "prepaid plan" (because it was the only option), causing even more confusion with multiple bar staff members.

The bottom line is that the staff involved did not know of the voucher policy change (or did not want to hear about it) and took NO effort to resolve the issue. Somehow, the staff (from top to bottom) thought myself (and others) were trying to cheat the system, which was not the case at all.

Otherwise, the 14-night B to B cruise was awesome!

Sea days I'm out of both my and DW's vouchers by dinner.  Port days they'll last until 8 or 9. 🙃

The only way I'm affected by the change is on debarkation I'll get a Latte.  Sounds like I might be paying.
