I'm glad you are getting your old seapass back. I'd be really annoyed if I couldn't have mine back.

We have had them taken temporarily several times but have always got them back.

I dislike embarkation day (until I'm onboard, have my bags, and can go into vacation mode) but I loathe disembarkation day (early morning and having to leave).  Have only done a few B2B cruises and have wondered why I just don't stay onboard every time. 🙂

I have looked in the app and it is not posted for the flowrider times. Would you please post the times for day 1. Thank you so much.

I haven't looked yet but it's being used right now and has been used for at least the last hour.

So I just got back to my room, and there's an envelope on my door with a SeaPass inside.

I look at the card, and it's a reprint of THIS WEEK'S card!  Thank goodness nobody looked in the envelope, b/c they could have gotten into my room with all my stuff in it!

I'll stash this card away so I don't have to worry about getting this week's card back next week, but I still have to go wait in line at Guest Services to get my card back.  UGH.

80s pop music?  Any country music thrown in, since you are sailing from Texas?

Only "country" music I heard all last week was when the dining room staff sang "Deep in the Heart of Texas" on the last night. 🤣

Boarding experience.

We got to the gates around 10:25.  By the time we got to the drop off it was 10:40! The traffic crawled to drop off.  And it's not that far.  If there was no traffic it might take 2 minutes.

A porter came to the Lyft and carted our bags away.  After that there was nothing to slow us down going to the waiting room.

I had just enough time to take this pic when we were called to board.  As we were leaving the area they checked our card to assure we were boarding at our select time.  She told us to come on, your group boarded already.  It was about 10:45 am.  Our boarding time was 10 am - 10:30 am.  The funny thing is when we made it to the WJ I noticed a text from RC that said to show up at noon.  😂 I may try to post a video once I remember how to get it

Off the 360 camera.

My opinion, ignore the "come later" notices.

I met up with @Ozark_Kid, his wife, and their friends in the Schooner Bar -- nice to put a face to a screen name!

Then I stopped at E3 (in front of Guest Services / Deck Five) and got my card scanned for Muster. Easy peasy.... probably the only good change to come out of COVID was the eMuster drill!!!

I tried to stop at the Deck Four MDR to check on my table assignment, but the Key Lunch was being held there, and they wouldn't let me in until after 1:00, so off I went to Deck Three's MDR for the Consecutive Cruiser Lunch.  All four of the podiums in the entryway had lines of people trying to make/change their dining room reservations, but I just snuck by them all and went into the MDR, where I was seated with a pleasant lady who was also solo, and we had a great chat during lunch.

Here's the menu:

They had the bread from Chops at the B2B lunch, so I had to show my new friend that it looks like Yoda:

The garlic soup was wonderful -- this should go on the MDR menu:

The skirt steak was a bit tough, but that's to be expected from skirt steak.  The sauce was like a mix between gravy and barbecue sauce.   The hush puppies were a bit odd, they seemed to be made with flour instead of cornmeal, so they were smooth in texture, like a cake or cookie.  The taste was fine, it just "felt" weird in your mouth if you're used to normal hush puppies.

But the dessert, OMG, that was TO DIE FOR!!!!  My tablemate and I kept moaning out loud with every bite -- this should DEFINITELY replace some of the items on the MDR dessert menu!!!

Rooms were announced as available at 1pm, and there was a mad dash to the elevators at that time.  Unless you really need to go to your room right at 1pm, I highly recommend waiting half an hour to an hour, if you'll be needing an elevator.

I’m going to enjoy this cruise. I’m especially interested in what you find to eat on the new menu and what your opinions are.
Is it true there’s no lunch in the MDRs even on sea days? First no tutti salad, and now no lunch???

That's not true at all.  MDR lunch is available on sea days, just no Tutti Salad.

The menus on the Royal app do not show lunch, only breakfast  and dinner, so it’s great news. Now I have to hope they didn’t drop my Steak Frites!

Thanks for the good news!

We had to 'surrender' ours once. It was the turnaround priorvto 2018 President Cruise. Said we could stop by GS later and get them back, but I never bothered

Typically I 'lose' one early in the cruise and get a replacement. Lately the one I have at the end is a pealing mess.

I'd throw vouchers in on that list

Lunch only on sea days. I see them

Never mind, all I see now are kids menus and wine lists

So i have heard but we have never experienced that - wasn’t it supposedly a certain supplier?

We have “lost”/ “demagnetized” one or two but generally they remain in good condition.

Make sure you look at the right deck.  On Allure right now Lunch and breakfast is served main dining deck 3.  Here's a screen shot.
