Suite Bar Stocking Preferences

We are new to Seabourn. Have read you can select your beverage preferences before the cruise. We have not found where you can do that on the web page.

If we can pre order where or how do we do that? Thanks.

It doesn't matter the size of the bottles as you can get another if you need it.

Just wondering if it's the little single serving type, like you get on airplanes. Or is it a little larger, and you can make a few drinks with it.

Typically 1 liter or 750ml; comes from the same stock the bars use.

Last time (2019) we got a bottle of Bailey's that was so large we could not justify opening it for the amount that we would consume. 
 

I wanted to update our preferences before our November cruise and am totally unable to access the page. I either get a blank page, or only our Seabourn Club preferences which it will not allow me to modify anyway.

I have to humbly apologize. Apparently all I had to do was claim publicly on this forum that I could not access the beverages and suite preferences … and then I went to the Seabourn website, logged in and “voila”!  When I went to “manage my cruise” there was the list and it allowed me to change preferences and make new preferences. Could it have been that the cruise was too far off for it to work the other times that I tried?

 

Who knows!  But it is done now.

Who knows!  But it is done now.

Thank you. We’ll give that a try again. Maybe preferences are offered after first cruise as there is no preferences available. Or maybe just too soon?

It should be possible regardless of whether it's your first SB. However if you're still unable to do it, you could ask your TA to do it on your behalf, but honestly unless your requirements are quite specialised don't worry about it.

Not sure if we are just unlucky but on embarkation our requested bar setup has only been correct a couple of times. It's not an issue, let your suite attendant know what you would like and they will get it set up usually the first night, or sometime the next day given how busy they are on embarkation day.

Try doing it on the app. The preference page doesn't load for me on the website but it works in the app when I pull up my registration.

We were quite surprised on our June 2023 cruise to find items stocking our in suite bar because we had not requested anything as we have found that we seldom drink anything in our suite (that could change of course).  As I am somewhat slow on the uptake, I thought a mistake had been made until I finally realized that they had stocked our bar as we had requested way back in 2019, which had been our last cruise.   But yes, if you have difficulty making the request, ask your travel agent to do it for you.

I've noticed that once you have completed the Preferences, it will automatically be repeated on future cruises.  So after you have completed them for your initial cruise, you only need to visit that page if you wish to make changes.

In the past that was certainly true. Our 2012 preferences from our first Seabourn cruise were definitely applied to our January 2019 Antarctic cruise which was our second Seabourn cruise.

I would very much like to know where we are going wrong! Hundreds of nights on SB but only set up as requested on at most 3 or 4 cruises. It's never been a problem of course as they soon sort it out, and actually it's become something of an in joke when we enter the suite to guess what unrequested delights are in the fridge. 🤪

I need to find that page as we are going to be celebrating our 48th wedding anniversary on our next cruise.  I think we will request a special meal--for the first time ever.

As Isklaar wrote, your suite attendant can get you what you want.  No problem.

I generally get what I have requested or pretty near to it.

We have never received what requested when we first enter our suite on a Seabourn cruise.  However we just tell our steward and by the time we return from dinner ( or sometimes before) everything is there we requested.  It’s really not a problem.  I do laugh as I have wondered why we are asked but it doesn’t bother us at all as it’s fixed in no time.

My hubby is addicted to diet Mountain Dew. Not the easiest product to find. In the past, departing Buenos Aires, they actually had cases of it stored for him.

This cruise, we are leaving from Auckland… Not sure even a great room is Stewart is going to be able to find 43 days worth of diet Mountain Dew tucked away somewhere on the ship 🙂 we requested it months ago when we could find the preferences page but, frankly, I have yet to be able to reproduce it or find where it is on the current website. 
Any suggestions welcome!

Seabourn is pretty amazing with sourcing items for guests. On my first Seabourn cruise, we were going out of Miami and didn't know about even requesting items so I stopped off at a grocery store and bought my favorite Diet Dr. Pepper so I could have one a day. I don't know if  they regularly stock it but it showed up in the bars around the ship and was on my future cruises and I know I didn't ever request it. I am sure I looked like "country come to town" but on that first cruise packing a case of DDP. They tagged it like luggage at the pier and it showed up in my room. 😄

We were on the Encore and my wife requested a non Alcoholic Gin called Seedlip , Sean Smidt the Bar Manager for the ship had made sure that every bar Including the Restaurant and our stateroom had this available . That is the Seabourn Difference.
