A few cabins on the 10th level has cruisers not having a great experience. First of all. There showers have been backing up. And at other times just not draining. But even worse their toilets do make the flushing sound but at times back up. Not a pretty sight. Maintenance going cabin to cabin working to resolve the issues. We heard that one cabin on embarkation day had an industrial fan drying the freshly cleaned/washed carpet. Hope we stay dry. We are on deck 9. Be safe. Yikes. I’m sailing on May 4th and have been assigned an ocean view balcony on Deck 10.

We only cruise 1-2 times a year and don't deposit much in the casino so no expectations that we can make prime at all. Rare Lionesss Posted April 25 Author #205 Share Posted April 25 Pool news. Many chairs available. Loungers a commodity. However. Our cruise thread is very active. And At the beach pool there were towels removed from 4 loungers. I think the pool attendant was worried that the towels would shrivel up. ( not). The towels were empty for 3 hours. The saga continues. When the towel’s owners arrived they made a scene. They were THE victims of there towels being removed and permitting some else to have the loungers. Finally an attempt at enforcement. Also Trying to push the galley tour. Sales pitch at lunch by an officer. We tried to tell him we have done it many times. But he would not come up for air. In fact he said even though we did it the tour can refresh our memories. Then he said it includes champagne and mimosas. All your care to drink. We go we are diamond plus and get 5 drinks a day and my drinks are free in casino. He goes you get a meal included fresh from kitchen. I go you mean the food on ship for us daily is not fresh???? He goes do not miss this opportunity. It is not 10 or 20 or even 25 percent off. I’ll give you 30 percent off $29.99. Finally he breathed. I said thank you for your time. But Not interested. ALSO The 10 drink card is available. Be safe.

Almost all loungers were taken with warm bodies. 5 mini day beds wickered covered available. They are free. Many chairs and tables available. About 6 couches available. Hot tub small but 6 of us fit comfortably. Temp of water 98-99 degrees. ( smart watch). Restrooms one per your birth sex. Very large. Full bar. Reminded me of schooner bar. Abundant towels in towel rack. Towel bin next to it. Free potato chips. Plexiglass surrounding deck. A nice break through breeze. One bartender. Very nice. Suite eligibility for entrance not enforced. If someone walked in behind you. There presence not monitored. Enjoyed our day. Be safe. 2

So on that front, her loss is my gain. 😁
Rare perfect match Posted April 26 #209 Share Posted April 26 12 hours ago, Lionesss said: The crew called it Turtle Beach. But two years ago we were at another beach where the fisherman cleaned their catch and dumped fish remnants in the water with more turtles feasting. Sad this happened to us. Be safe. I’m sad for you that you didn’t get to see any turtles this time around. There is a different beach on e that is called Turtle Beach. I haven’t been there. The sign at the beach where we went said Playa Piscado. The same spot was listed on Google Maps as Playa Piscado/Playa Grandi. Whatever you want to call the place it was an awesome place to swim with turtles. The one drawback I saw with the place was that as a local fisherman’s beach, it was a place that you would not want to leave anything laying around there unless someone from your party was there guarding your things. Our guide was very familiar with the beach and was fluent in the local dialect. We thoroughly enjoyed our day there and had absolutely no problems at all. I would go back there without a second thought.
Rare Lionesss Posted April 26 Author #210 Share Posted April 26 OK. I am sure everyone really wants to know exactly how much I won and if I gave it all back. So. Here goes the numbers. I received 3 hand pays accompanied by Form W-2g $1,695 $1,695 $5,095 Total $8,485 The bottom line. I am going home with 35% of that. $2,900 Ok. But I spent enough in casino to earn a free cruise for 2 in a grand suite on Oasis class ships ( good selection). Few choices on quantum class. I am also being comped to my on board account $600. This money can be used for anything except cigarettes, alcoholic beverages, or casino. Can be used in gift shop, specialty dining. So looking at prices the way RCI future cruise prices have soared and some of the cruises I am eligible for are costing close to $9,000. So. Bottom line is Doing new math. number crunching. 😳 I am technically over $10,000 ahead. Just saying. Be safe.
Rare perfect match Posted April 26 #211 Share Posted April 26 Sue, you’re my hero! I am very impressed with your success in the casino. I have a lot of luck in the casino, too. Unfortunately mine is all BAD luck! I go in the casino. The casino takes my money. 🤷♀️

I have never even touched a gambling mechanism and have not the foggiest idea of how to even start one of those things spinning! Of course I am so financially risk averse (my wife would say cheap) that I wouldn't bet that the sun rises tomorrow. Still, I'd like to try the casino (smoke-free) just once for the thrill?? Rare BecciBoo Posted April 26 #216 Share Posted April 26 I played the 3 magic drums robber on Voyager for almost 4 hrs on my original put in of $200...I won back $185 but the temptation of one more big bonus was too much for me and I ended up with 85 cents! LOL That's why I don't think I'll ever make prime. Too much money put in just to get the points for the offer in one year....nah. I'll just play my little sum for entertainment.

wolfganghowell Posted April 26 #219 Share Posted April 26 I'm obviously behind the times. When did the Falmouth Margaritaville close? Glad they don't go there from Galveston anymore. That was our go to spot since we didn't want to leave the port area. what a shame. we had lots of fun there.

Rare Lionesss Posted April 26 Author #221 Share Posted April 26 (edited) All aboard was 3:30 ship time. Jamaica is one hour behind us. One of the excursions we’re stuck in traffic with 9 min to get back. They were told “no worries”. Line getting through security. ( borrowed from our cruise thread).
