Favorite Mexico Itinerary?

I have been to Cancun to stay but never did a cruise to Mexico. 

Anyone have a favorite itinerary for Mexico?

Yes...Mexican Riviera from my home port San Pedro Ca. 7 nights.

Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan & Cabo. This is the one we've done many times over the years and continue to do every year.

Keep in mind there are "two" Mexicos...the Caribbean side, and the Pacific. Both have a relatively small number of ports.

I've done the Caribbean side. Unless you want to travel to ruins or go to a beach, there isn't much to do in Costa Maya. And I think I'm "Cozumel"'d out.

If Caribbean - the Southern Caribbean for the ABC islands.  Pacific side Cabo, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta.

Totally love Cozumel been there 20 or so times great bars and restaurants. Never get tired of it.

I agree with George, Cozumel is great. Mr. Sancho's, Playa Mia and Nachi Cocom beach club are all amazing.

For me it's not a cruise - it's a high-end adult only all-inclusive in Cancun.

I don't get off the ship when in Mexican ports.  Acapulco is dirty, Cabo is a big upscale shopping mall, Puerto Vallarta is the only nice town to stroll about in. Mazatlan is boring.   Being from Los Angeles, its like we already live in Mexico.

I would say that my favorite Mexico port is Loreto.  It is on the Baja Peninsula on the Sea of Cortez.  It is not on the "typical" Mexican Riviera" itinerary.  Princess and HAL offer "Sea of Cortez" itineraries,  It  just like a nice quiet town.  I am not going to make any foolish comments like it is "authentic."  It does appear that a number of U.S. ex-pats do live there.  I just like the vibe.

Ahh, I'm not a beach person. I can't think of worse torture than going to the beach.

Mr. Sancho's in Cozumel. Also the original Bar Hop, not the fake one.
