I'd give'm a strong second-place finish to Port Days.  Hey, nothing wrong with second place.

Dentist done. Lunch secured. Double points day at Chicken Salad Chick. Gotta play it smart.

Tomorrow is gonna be packing heavy. Trying to get some things done around the house and last minute stuff to help Mom with anything else she could possibly need before I go, but she’s doing great all things considered.

Yeah, my dentist’s name is Dr. Pepper. So what? Who cares? He’s awesome. #23flavors #zerocavities

Many years ago my dad’s heart surgeon was Dr. Pepper which happens to be my soda choice always. Plus we were in Waco, Tx🤣 (birthplace of Dr Pepper for those who don’t know).  Took it as a good omen.

Is this a Carnival excursion or independent?

I used to go to the original Babe’s Chicken Dinner House in Roanoke and there was a little antique shop across the street that sold glass bottles of Dublin Dr Pepper (IYKYK) out of a cooler. It was a must every time.

It’s actually a Carnival excursion! Price has gone up a bit since we did it a couple years ago, but it was worth it based on the experience last time.

I checked in 16 days out about a half hour after it opened at midnight EST…. Ended up in B02. Must have been a lot of Diamonds and Platinums jumping on that check in button

It's a shame that cruises to nowhere are currently banned for whatever stupid reason.

At the very least, a five day cruise with a solo stop at Celebration Key on day three and ending with two sea days would be doable and legal, but alas, the bean counters at Carnival would probably never do it.  A 5-4-5 starting on a Saturday from PC or MIA would increase the flow to Celebration Key and also let those that enjoy sea days a reason to book this itinerary.

So for ship spotters and for the sake of port crowds, let's see who's in with us port by port!

NYC - Venezia ONLY... Wow. I guess departing on a Monday has its perks! This will hopefully ease congestion.

Nassau - TRAFFIC JAM - Venezia, Liberty, Conquest, Freedom OTS, MSC Magnifica, MSC Seascape. Wow, That's one busy day. Nassau packs em in.

HMC - Venezia ONLY.

Grand Turk - Venezia ONLY.

Amber Cove - Venezia ONLY.

Back to NYC - Venezia, Island Princess. At least we're in with a smaller ship (relatively) so getting that ride to LGA won't be too tough.

That's a lot of places to ourselves! I'll take it!

You won't have to worry about that Princess ship when you get back to New York. They dock in Brooklyn!

Love sea days!

That's the beauty of sailing to the Caribbean from NYC. A minimum of two sea days each way! :classic_biggrin:

We're sailing Venezia from NYC next year. I can't wait, because I love sea days, and Txteach79, I'm really looking forward to your thoughts about this cruise. In the meantime, we leave on Tuesday for a flight to Madrid and a week cruise on the Douro River. Doug's spending a fair amount of time trying to figure out what I might take for the flight - I can't stand flying.😮

I'm so sorry for your loss, Paul. Such a bittersweet trip. I hope you are able to enjoy yourself and honor his love of the sea. I'm looking forward to following along with you again as always. Safe travels! ❤️

We've been to Grand Turk twice and did the Home Sweet Home excursion both times!  We love that one.  Such a perfect day both times!

Booking an Uber in advance from LGA - MVille seems insane, even for NYC on a holiday weekend. Either a cab is in play, or I’ll check Lyft and Uber when I land.

I used curb and I thought he was joking when he told me $90 but he wasn’t.  This was last November.  It was the same when we got off the ship.
