But, I do have a surprise.

It is not this tiny blue duck.

It is not Happy Hour.

Happy Hour was wonderful, but it is more of a given than a surprise.

For obvious reasons (rain, rain and more rain) these are not my best photos. They do show snippets of life from Portland and Weymouth.

This. This is the reason I adore your posts. You show us what it's like to travel through an unfamiliar place, while providing snippets of every day life. In every place you've shown us what life is like - snails, dogs, cats, bakeries, thatched roofs, rainy days, front doors, and so much more. It's what we all live for. The connection to those that live half a world away. As your trip winds down, I just want to say how grateful I am for the time you spend allowing us to journey vicariously along with you. Not through you. But right there, by your side, as if we're viewing the good, normal, and ho-hum.

With appreciation - and looking forward to more.

You may enjoy reading, the very light and fluffy and fun to read, “Sweetshop of Dreams” by Jenny Colgan. 3.93/5 on Goodreads. I listened to it as an audiobook from the library and loved the accents!

And people eat those nasty things in Le Bistro on NCL. (Where's the vomit emoji when I need it?)

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Who was the first person to watch a snail leaving a slime trail and said. "That looks mighty tasty"??

These words mean so much to me. Thank you for reading and for “getting” me.

That’s how I feel about octopus. Who looked at one and thought, “food?”

Fruit Pastilles and Walnut Whips, but sadly I don’t see them there.

Flying Saucers! I buy those every Christmas at the British shop here. My kids LOVE them. They are sooooooooo expensive at the British shop.

I remember eating those when I was a child, and that was a LONG time ago.

How exciting!  Was that a spur of the moment decision or planned?  Looking forward to following along with you as you continue your adventures on the British Isles.

Thank so very, very much for allowing all us to come along with you.

I am looking forward to traveling along with you on your further journey. My only wish is we could be there in person.

Hugs and safe travels.

@YVRteacher I have enjoyed your entire review, your pictures, your witty storytelling, and your view on being new to Princess. We are taking our first Princess this October on Majestic. It will be my 50th cruise. I am looking forward to many of the researched beverages you have shown. It looks as the bartenders will make you want you want....I just make all my drinks with Gin 😉

We have a 12 day on Regal next year to the British Isles, which was booked specifically for going to Scotland.

I wish you safe travels home! I am sure you will have many stories for your Dad.

As your internet looks stellar. On our Alaska cruise on the Edge-her first time sailing in May, I could not do anything with CC till I was in port.
