Would appreciate an update for Equinox...staff, bands, shows etc. Last posting was fairly recent...Nov, ; not sure when contracts begin/end...We are sailing Jan 2nd..

Hoping Arno will start one for 2016, using same format...it is very helpful and much appreciated!

 

hcat - Capt. Leo should still be on board for your cruise as he just came on the Equinox in mid November. Rossy was the Captain's Club Hostess; Take Five was the house band.

 

Some of the shows in the theater:

Dave Burleigh - Comedy

New Celebrity Production - Singers, Dancers, Specialty Performers

Not Really Three Tenors

Solomon Jaye - channels John Legend, Luther Vandross, Stevie Wonder

The Liars Club w/Capt. Leo and CD Alejandro

Craig Meyer - Elton John tribute artist

Natalie Toro - "Broadway, Standards, & Everything In-Between"

Garin Bader - virtuoso pianist

Mark Nizer - Comedy

They're just off Equinox on 11th.....Perhaps finally home for the Holidays.I suggest we be a bit patient ;I'm sure he'll resume his charts updates shortly.

What type of music was on board in addition to the house band Take Five? Were.they any good? Hoping for jazz , guitar , island style, latin...esp if good live music!

Loved, loved, loved, Alejandro (Cruise Director) and Captain Leo...lots of fun and very friendly. Andres (Activity Staff) also a blast...Didn't care for Jane, Alejandro's Asst., too much. Loved the Head Chef at the Top Chef show...such fun.

 

Was disappointed with the House Band (Take Five), loved DJ Flow, liked DJ Gio, enjoyed duo? that played around 5 near Martini Bar. We didn't attend

many of the other music events this year so can't comment on them.

I am going on the Eclipse in Feb, and after 2 cruises with her, it would be nice to have a change of CDs.

 

Exactly the opposite view to us. After sailing with some of the newer and funkier CDs over the past couple of years, we will be extremely disappointed if Sue is not on our 10th May sailing. Already lost dear Perry to Princess.

Long shot, but wondering if there is any chance that Alejandro will still be on the Equinox next June, when we sail her?

 

Anyone know how long they normally work before a vacation?

 

We were on the Connie for 18 days in August and September this year and Alejandro was absolutely brilliant. He left the ship when we did to return to Argentina for a vacation. I would not have believed that a CD could have made such a difference to my cruise experience!

I'm not sure who Capt Panos is, but we had Capt. Leonardos Palaiokrassas on the Nov 20th sailing! Wonderful, outgoing and funny! Called himself Capt. Leo.

Since the long time, many time cruiser seems to be abandoning this thread, we need someone to create a new chart for this thread. From experience, I know there is a "process" to getting the chart to fit into Cruise Critic's parameters. So, whoever has the knowledge...

 

 

 

(Almost all Celebrity cruisers will leave Celebrity without this chart being up to date.)

Why would we blame and punish Celebrity for the chart not being up to date? X has nothing to do with it. I just don't understand. ~ Rick:confused:
