Harmony Keel Blocks are in the House... well they're outside actually!

Recommended Posts

Not sure if they're larger, but I'm very glad Royal isn't following the trend of smaller balconies! :D (i.e. NCL Breakaway/Getaway and Regal/Royal Princess)

You are right about that. Some of the balconies on those Mini-Suites were just too small for that type of cabin.

Looking at the last photo in Lloyd's post above, I can see curved edges at the end of the middle of the block on decks 4 & 5. Is that part of the dining room? keep in mind that the dining areas may have been redesigned for Dynamic Dining.

Almost has to be the dining rooms, doesn't it? The boardwalk is right above it, so it really can't be anything else... However, it's hard to tell with all the scaffolding in front.

Said it once and will say it again. The Rising Tide Bar reminds me of something ... :D

The Oasis 3 was temporarily floated to move it from dry dock A to the deeper dry dock B so that the portical cranes can move over the build and allow the shipyard to build upwards. At this stage 41 of 86 blocks have been assembled on the Oasis 3 build, which corresponds to 60% completion of the "shell". The build still lacks the bow, stern and upper decks.

Lloyd - Thanks for the photos and link to more photos and the article. Very interesting how this build is going. Didnt realize that she was going to me moved while in the dock from dock A to dock B. From the article, I think there will be another move to dock C were everything will be finalized.

I read in another article that the move to basin C will take place in June.

Waiting for them to get a bit higher up to see if they start adding supports for the water-slide from the rendering. They won't be able to keep that a secret.

No kidding, considering it goes from deck 17 or 18 down to deck 15.

Right down through the middle of the ship with a landing zone in the aqua theatre pool would be even nicer.:D

That would be sweet, but I get the impression from what I have heard that the slides will have a small 'footprint'. They will likely end close to the start of the slides and in the deck 15 pool area. I'm thinking that there is also small/short slide for the little kids.

I found this nice top view drawing by Patrice Alias Dvdou to illustrate a possible layout.

Thanks. Nice diagram.

I would be kind of disappointed if a was a fairly bland water-slide that they put in. It would be a bit of a letdown as there are some really cool looking slides that have been added by other lines and Royal has been fairly innovative with what they have been adding to the new ships.

I have not really followed along. Have they made any announcements about the addition of what looks like a suite sun deck with pools and cabanas on the Royal Crown?

That looks like another great suite enhancement on Oasis 3. Maybe one side will be suite only and the other side a for fee sun deck.
