  1. Back in 2019, we did an AI, a Carnival excursion, and we loved it. We almost took the Merida tour, then Chichen Itza, but decided the tour bus to both places took up most of the day. This is a very nice place we stayed at. Here are a few pics: Never mind. Somehow they all got turned upside down.
  2. Year round, eh? Well, that's good news, and very interesting! Thanks for passing that along! 👍
  3. I think you'd get more info from the Ports of Departure Board here on Cruise Critic, than here on the Carnival sub-forum. As always ymmv.
  4. Mahogany Bay is a perfect beach day. Take the ski lift(or what ever they call it() and get a beautiful panoramic view of the whole area. Get a heaping plateful of the nachos at Playa Tortuga bar. It's enough for 2 people and then some. Wash it down with some great Honduran beer. While in Belize, take the Carnival excursion to the Mayan ruins at Altun Ha. It's a great Mayan ruins tour. When you get back, you'll have plenty of time to stop at the Thirsty Lizard in the port area. You can't miss it. It's on your right as you exit the tour bus. I fell in love with Belize and the people. In fact, I bought 2 rounds of beer for the tour guides when they walked past.
  5. Sure you can. Go here.... https://carnival.ourgiftcards.com/checkbalance
  6. On our Dream cruise this past Sept., we ate in the steakhouse on the 3rd night, and we were offered a free bottle of wine. After talking to our waiter we decided on the red, as both of us ordered the filet. And it was really, really good. But we aren't wine drinkers, but this wine paired perfectly.
  7. IMO, it's worth repeating over and over.
  8. The one and only one time I booked a GTY cabin, I got the cabin room number assignment right after our online check in. But that was back in July, 2019.
  9. Incredibly dark song. Very deep and moving. I remember it from Apocalypse Now.
  10. DOH! You are correct! My bad. Thanks for correcting me.
  11. No. You can only use on board credit, via your Sail & Sign card to make purchases. What you CAN do however, is to apply you remaining balance on your gift card TO your S&S account. We always wait until we get onboard to apply our gift cards.
  12. Agree 100%. As I get older, I find that assigned eating at 6:30 suits us perfectly. Plus, I enjoy having fellowship with our table mates. I enjoy a relaxing meal with good company. For us, it makes for a more enjoyable cruise experience. And I get it that the younger crowd wants to get in and get out as fast as they can, so they can go to the next show or whatever. That's fine to. Just not our style.
  13. Absolutely! My wife doesn't even bring dresses anymore.
  14. In my experience, Carnival will not scoff if you bring less than 12 cans of soda. We did on our first 2 cruises.
  15. As do we. We typically buy enough to pay off our cruise, then use a few to fund our onboard account(sail & sign card). It's worked out great for us.
  16. I bring Amoxicillin with me on every cruise. I've experienced no problems what so ever.
  17. Bravo! Bravo! Excellent review! I enjoyed looking at the pics, and reading your commentary very much! Thank you for taking the time to share your cruise with us! 👍👍
  18. Beautiful! Absolutely beautiful. Thanks so much for posting......and the memories for those of us who were fortunate enough to sail on her. Job well done! 👍
