  1. Different strokes for different folks. Have you been to Belize or Honduras?? We have. Last August, 2021. I LOVED Belize. Mahogany is a new favorite as well. One of our best cruises ever.
  2. Maybe it's a timing thing. I usually wait until mid to late afternoon. And I rarely, rarely ever win anything. But checking in mid-morning, it seems like the incidences of winning increase. I dunno....
  3. Ditto here for me too! First spin too! Thanks for letting me know! 👍
  4. You ate a full MDR meal in 10 minutes?? Amazing. kudos to you. I could never inhale a meal that quickly.
  5. I totally agree. Mother Nature, wherever you are on this planet is Awe inspiring, majestic, and indescribable. Loving your review and your pictures. Good job!
  6. For those that are unaware it exists, there is a great sub-forum here on Cruise Critic called the "hurricane zone". It's mostly headed up by Pelican Bill, and it's a great forum to stay informed. Thank you @Pelican Bill for providing this service to CC members! 👍
  7. Off to another good start Jeff! I really look forward to your wonderful reviews & Patti's pictures! 👍
  8. It think it means that the Jubilee isn't sailing from any U.S. port prior to Dec., 2023 is all.
  9. Same here. About 8 months after Covid hit, my local Chase bank closed all of it's drive thru lanes, and removed all of the equipment. I hope they bring it back.
  10. This applies to the Dream, and those other ships that don't have Sports Bars. When big games are happening, why doesn't Carnival just show it on the big screen where they show the Dive In Movies?
  11. It varies with the individual cruiser. I usually tip $5.00 for the order taker; $5.00 for the server. Some tip more; some tip less. I tip more if the service is outstanding....it really depends on what you are comfortable with.
  12. It won't be. Sorry. OBC from a TA will only show up AFTER you board the ship. I ran into the same problem back in 2019. Just have faith that it will be there.
  13. And what's wrong with doing it "the old way"? I'm an old people, and I intend on doing it the old way. That's my comfort zone.
  14. I'll give it a try. How about the atrium bar? Everybody knows where it is. Just select a time for your meet up. Do some research by googling "lobster house in St. John & Halifax". Just my thoughts.
  15. Well, a Google search returned these results : https://www.cruiselawnews.com/2022/09/articles/passenger-rights/videos-of-another-flood-caused-by-a-busted-pipe-on-a-carnival-cruise-ship-go-viral/ https://www.newsweek.com/flooding-cruise-captured-dramatic-video-prompts-comparison-titanic-1741650 https://twitter.com/thiscruiselife/status/1568008199948873729 I don't know if this hurts or helps(to explain what happened). It appears that this did happen. To what extent the damage is, I dunno. Just passing on what I found.
  16. Ugghhhh. I watched the entire video. My heart goes out to those workers. I found that depressing. I can't imagine working/sleeping/living in those conditions. Thanks so much for posting.
  17. You might want to take a look in the Ports of Call sub-forum For Sydney here on Cruise Critic. I don't think you'll get much response here on the Carnival sub-forum. Sounds like a great cruise! I hope you enjoy it!
  18. I totally agree! I love the steak & omelets for me, and eggs Benedict for Mrs. Joe817. And the fact that it's a sea day, means we can sleep in, take our time getting ready, and head to the MDR. I wish the offered it every day!
  19. IT's a fun thing to see. The Seuss characters parade around in front and the kids in back, while everyone is eating their breakfast. I'm sure there is a U-Tube video on it if you search for it.
