  1. Monopole, the other Champagne that SS stocks.
  2. So that’s where all the Pommery went.
  3. It happened on the Whisper in March, 5 days before we got off. Luckily 3 of those were dry days in Saudi 🍾
  4. Thanks for the info, I had not spotted that the books were numbered.
  5. Thanks for continuing to keep us in touch Charles.
  6. Ours turned up on Christmas Eve, must have got stuck in the postal strikes.
  7. It’s a good job that you don’t have to explain it to the Echoes as well!
  8. @zqtchasnice photo of you and your wife on Voldemort today. Looking good. Merry Christmas.
  9. You are right to be concerned, when we joined the Moon in October we arrived at about 2:30 and took almost 2 hours to get onboard. Someone joining the Muse in Sydney a couple of days ago took about 2.5 hours. It can now be a very time consuming business. Arriving later in the 2-4pm window will almost certainly help shorten it.
  10. Seen nothing. Not sure if anyone in the U.K. has had it. Would like to see the details though.
  11. Agree with what you have said, but how long will your post remain here?
  12. Apparently Roberto Martinoli has been bumped up the food chain to the role of special advisor to Royal Caribbean Group and has promoted his wife, Barbara Muckermann to be President and CEO of Silversea.
  13. @chrism23dont worry about Argentina, nothing changes there. And the fragrant Christina is not in jail, she has been found guilty but has immunity. She will also appeal and the chances of her being jailed are about likely as them ever stealing the Falklands again.
  14. You have been misinformed, there is a small library on the Moon on the port side of the Observation Lounge. I would guess there are between 150 and 200 fiction books. I managed to find 2 long books, both relatively recent that occupied a 19 day voyage. There are also a handful of paperbacks left by guests.
  15. At the end of October Alessandro Zanello was Captain and Daniele Franco was HD. Julian (cannot remember his surname) was the MD and he got on in Lisbon on the 18th when Gilbert went home for a holiday, so he should still be there.
  16. Thanks for taking the time to post, really appreciate your thoughts.
  17. There are some very interesting questions raised on the Viking boards about just how this happened and whether the ship is actually fit for purpose. What would worry me is just how low those guests cabins are, and how close to the water line. The older ships would have had lockable portholes that low down.
  18. Lucky you, for our last 2 cancellations (by SS) we got a great big fat zero!
  19. I also checked the Chronicles for the current Whisper voyage down the SA Pacific coast, and no mention of jeans. So SS, why is the Moon dress code different?
  20. That’s interesting, on our recent 19 Moon voyage, every single day the Chronicle had a little note in the Dress Code section on the front ‘no shorts, jeans or flip flops after 6pm in indoor venues’
  21. Also thanks @highplanesdrifters, does the suite have a tub?
  22. La Dame is much smaller on the Muse than the Moon and Dawn, and IMHO has a much better atmosphere.
