I can understand certain vegetables may hold up well frozen. For example I am italian and frozen peas hold up better when cooked in certain dishes than fresh. That said who knows what restaurants use. Its the taste that matters in my opinion. I think we can agree that for the price we pay for cruising and in expensive restaurants we want the food to be delicious and since we are on a cruise expect more quality and taste. All of the cruise lines are in terrible debt and need to cut but that only means that i will be more selective i choosing where i spend my money. Its sad that the mainstream lines need to cut corners in such noticeable ways that we now notice it. I would not expect to get an accurate answer from staff. They have their jobs to worry about. All we can do is report our experiences and let our fellow cruise critic friends intake the information and decide what to do

Benny, as you know I am a big fan and love the food pictures. Sorry but i cannot seem to cancel out the bold type lol. Anyway, I have been blessed to have traveled the world by sea air and land and wonder why you have also not done so with the exception of some of Europe which i know you are sailing on NCL in a few weeks. Posts from other areas would be priceless! Also what does your family think of you being away for months at a time? I guess i do not mean to pry but perhaps a little more personalized account of you the person would be appreciated. That said, enjoy your voyages! Blessings.

Carnival Horizon Review with Pictures: Oct 9, 2022 Sailing

Enjoy and smooth sailing! -
Aloha. We have found aft vibration noticeable on the Zuiderdam and on several Celebrity ships. Never on the QM2 or Crystal. Question for you…what do your children think about you being away from them for months on end. When we travel for more than a month or so or when we spend more than a month or two in Hawaii we miss each other tremendously. We may fly to New York for a week or so to see them then fly back. Smooth sailing.

Aloha. Thank you for posting. glad you took me up on my suggestion to visit Longs Drugs for souvenirs and general shopping. I have a question. We took a princess cruise from our home in Honolulu to the South Pacific and stopped along the way on Kiribati. Are you also doing so or just going straight to French Polynesia? Kiribati is really like a Gilligans Island and the people were lovely. Hawaiian flies to Papeete from Honolulu and we have in the past availed ourselves of the convenience for a few days. Smooth sailing!

Thank you for your posts and pictures. Just my opinion but what is the big deal with the masks? I would be more concerned about no masks. I have been blessed to have traveled the world and sailed on countless cruises. As for me I won’t risk getting covid on a ship and risk being quarantined. That said, many cruisers have not been as fortunate and take the risk. Nevertheless keep the pictures and food pictures coming and smooth and safe sailing! Enjoy.

Aloha! Enjoying your posts. We divide our time between New York and Honolulu approximately every two months for a moth or so at a time. If we do a staycation in Waikiki we stay at the Halekulani where House without a Key is located. Recently they have been requiring reservations even for drinks on the patio area where the music is and they just serve pu pu along with drinks. I would suggest calling them in advance to double check. By the way its a great hotel. We have done staycations there for about 15 years. We do the same thing in New York. Its kind fun! Smooth sailing.
