If NCL offered 'Smoking' cabins would you book one?

Recommended Posts

The question is: If NCL offered 'Smoking' cabins would you book one?

Maybe it should be:

1. Are you a smoker?

If the answer to 1. is NO

End of Survey and thank you for participating.

If the answer to 1. is YES,

then answer:

2. If NCL offered 'Smoking' cabins would you book one?

It would depend on whether the designated smoking areas in the public areas were sufficiently accommodating. If there are too few designated areas or no covered outdoor areas with chair seating, then YES since a balcony offers both cover & chairs.

Otherwise, I would see no reason to book a "smoking" cabin.

And it would be nice if smokers had the option of paying extra to be able to smoke on their balconies.

But smoking on your balcony would impact more than just YOUR balcony.

Agree my sentiments exactly

If there was a rule about screaming kids on the balcony, like there is no smoking on balconies, I'd complain, but as of now, they can scream away.

So I guess one can shout obscenities at the screaming kids with no repercussions then since there is no rule against that either, right.

Hotels are non-smoking. They should make cruise ships non-smoking.

Planes are non-smoking. They should make cruise ships non-smoking.

Office buildings are non-smoking. They should make cruise ships non-smoking.

Restaurants are non-smoking. They should make cruise ships non-smoking.

This is about the dumbest compairison I have ever seen. (and i'm a non smoker who HATES the smell of cigs). Now, I'll just step back and let this thread go down the worm hole that most smoking threads usually do.

I certainly wouldn't do that, but if someone did, it would just show their character. BTW, there is a code of conduct that is in the passenger cruise contract and I don't think screaming kids having fun falls into that, but yelling obscenities probably does.

Hard Rock Hotel/Casino in FLL has smoking rooms available...

The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is located in Hollywood, Florida-- not at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL)

The Florida Clean Indoor Air Act prohibits smoking indoors in most buildings, however, as Sovereign Land, Seminole properties claim exemption.

All para-mutual casinos in Florida are NON-SMOKING and seem to do well.

When this thread runs it's course, who's up for another one:

If NCL Offered Barbecue Grills on Balconies....

If NCL offered cruises to the moon would you go?

If the cruise ship was made of cheese would you eat it?

Are there designated smoking areas? How many? Where are they located? Inquiring minds want to know these things! :'):'):')

I'm a smoker, and would not book a smoking cabin. It would still bother non smokers in the area. When smoking was common on the balconies, it was different, and I would smoke, but I have no problem with the current rules.

I think it depends on how the designated smoking areas have been interpreted on each ship since the policy/non-policy is different depending on the ship. I would definitely book a “smoking” balcony room on the Bliss or Escape but would find that completely unnecessary on the Breakaway or Getaway.
