"Drinks On Us Card".......Tip ?

When I get a drink with my card. Should I give the server a cash tip or do they 18% added on?

No, "Drinks on Us" card does not add on a tip.

Don't give any ideas it's 15%.

We have the drinks on us card every cruise. with that being said I'm not sure for a fact if tips are included BUT I can tell you after the first day the servers fight over serving us we tip $1 or $2 per drink in cash. They for sure remember who the tippers are so I pay to never be thirsty

They don't have 18% added (18% of 0 is still 0). Tip if you want to. It is not required.

I bring a lot of $1 and give one with each drink.

If you get a certain amount of casino points you get free drinks in the casino while playing

I always have the drinks on us card, and no they do not automatically add a tip on free drinks. The receipt they bring with the drink has a place for you to write in a tip, or of course you may tip in cash. And yes, they still bring a receipt for you to sign even though it is a free drink. I agree with others it is important to tip the server even if the drink is free. I always take a stack of $1 bills with me for tipping purposes.

DH and I always bring $1 bills for tips once we reach the Drinks on Us, usually early the second cruise day. Tips are not added to the free drinks and it only seems fair to tip the drink wait staff.

I get the free drinks card in the casino. I tip a dollar chip for each drink.

Just curious, around how much do you spend in casino before you get the card?

I play table games and this last cruise I bought in $3K the first night. I already got a free drinks card offer on my next cruise, so I won't have to spend anything...

 

My daughter bought in $500 a few times during the cruise and never got a card, Plus she was 1500 points shy of getting a card for her next cruise.

 

We both played 15-20 hours this last cruise. My average bet was a lot more than hers, even though she won more.

I figure for us about $1000 the first day. I figure it's about the price of cheers but with a chance to win money. Cheers for our last cruise was alittle over $900 but I don't drink so we gambled and had fun and my wife got the card. It was a win win for us even though we lost

Do I get complimentary drinks while playing?

We do offer complimentary drinks to eligible players once they have reached a certain level of play:

 

• Slot Players: Any guest who earns the required number of points during a single voyage departing from North America and Europe will be eligible to receive the 'Drinks On Us!' card. The standard point level that must be reached to qualify from slot play is 1,000 points on sailings less than 5 days and 1,500 points on sailings 5 days or longer.
  
• Table Players: Table players will be awarded a 'Drinks On Us!' card when they reach comparable table play.
  
• Pre-Qualified Guests: Any guest who reached 5,000 or more points on their previous sailing will automatically qualify for the 'Drinks On Us!' card on their next sailing.

If you aren't paying for the drinks when you have the DOU card, how can they add a tip? 0x 15%=0.

 

I tip $1 a drink when I use the DOU card.
