hevnsprncs Posted November 21, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 21, 2017 We are traveling on the 12/09 Eastern Caribbean Equinox cruise. We previously have sailed on the Eclipse and chose upon boarding to upgrade our classic drink package to the premium one. I have seen the brochures that say on the classic drink package includes the specialty coffees, etc., at the coffee bar, however, I'm reading in recent reviews those are only on the premium drink package. Can someone please advise? This time around we believe we can make the classic drink package work for us IF the coffee bar is included, if not, we will likely go ahead and upgrade to premium... Alakegirl Posted November 21, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 21, 2017 Since you generally wait until you are on board to upgrade, you can check out what is and isnt included on each package and decide then.
TFLG Posted November 21, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 21, 2017 Specialty coffee is still included. There are a couple of the alcoholic coffees that don't fall within the classic package. All the non-alcohol speciatly coffee is still included

goingplaces1132 Posted November 21, 2017 #5 Share Posted November 21, 2017 I would assume all ships are the same? We are traveling on the summit in may. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
helen haywood Posted November 21, 2017 #6 Share Posted November 21, 2017 Yes, all ships are the same in terms of what is included in the different beverage packages. You may see some differences in a particular wine offered from one ship to another... Sent from my iPhone using Forums
miched Posted November 21, 2017 #7 Share Posted November 21, 2017 Wait until you get on board to determine what suits your needs. Packages change from week to week and from ship to ship. We have found what was on one ship was different on another a week later doing a “B2B”. Also on one ship doing a B2B the drink packages completely changed for the next cruise. Drink up 🍺🍸🍹🍷🛳🍻🥂🥃🍾
Rare vickykay Posted November 21, 2017 #8 Share Posted November 21, 2017 Just off Silhouette. Speciality coffees included in the classic package. The ones with alcohol were 1$ over the limit so you only pay the difference . Same with Martini Bar. We usually upgrade but did not this trip and did fine. Rare DENIE Posted November 22, 2017 #9 Share Posted November 22, 2017 Got off the Infinity in October - specialty coffee was definitely included in Classic package.
crilski Posted November 22, 2017 #10 Share Posted November 22, 2017 Not if the coffee contains alcohol that is not on the Classic Plan - ie Bailey's is now Premium only. So you can have the Aspen. (you could always pay the difference) I'm not sure if there were other specialty coffees that were affected.
drsel Posted November 22, 2017 #11 Share Posted November 22, 2017 Besides non alcoholic specialty coffee, which cocktails and frozen drinks are included in the Classic alcoholic beverages package? We had the Ole coffee (w/alcohol) after dinner each night and it was included in the Classic package. Some drinks were upgraded to the Premium package. You just need to read the menu when you get onboard.
hevnsprncs Posted November 22, 2017 Author #13 Share Posted November 22, 2017 Thank you all so much for the replies :) I think we will be ok with the classic package and IF something is over I really like that now it's just paying the difference, as opposed to how it used to be, paying the full price

Sent from my Lenovo P2a42 using Forums mobile app Most of them! With the exception of the specialty cocktails at the world class bar, the martini bar and a few cocktails that feature top shelf liquor most stuff is included in the classic package. btw many of the coffees with alcohol are included, only a couple are over the limit. Drink up 🍺🍸🍹🍷🛳🍻🥂🥃🍾 We have had the same experience...there is sort of a core consistency, but every ship we have been on seems to have different views of what's included in what package. We had one cruise where they insisted that only coffee was included...not teas. Kettel One is in/out depending on what bar you go to. An Americano (sweet vermouth and campari) is in or out depending on the ship (and that one's even in writing as being in). Wines vary all over the lot depending on what the wine steward has in his hand at the time. As long as you're a little flexible, things generally work out....
