zanydoc Posted September 25, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 25, 2018 With the new set sail passes, I noticed that they no longer have all of your family’s names on them-just yours. Do I need to print out a pass for every single person, or just one? Thanks
leisuretraveler223 Posted September 25, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 25, 2018 Not sure what ship you're on, but you don't need to print them for everyone. Heck, you don't NEED to print them at all.

reallyitsmema Posted September 25, 2018 #5 Share Posted September 25, 2018 Ruh-Ro, Shaggy-2 opposite replies! :D Leisuretraveler does not believe in printing set sail passes or luggage tags. He likes to just show up at the pier and have it done there. If you are sailing one of the ships with individual set sail passes, you have the ability to print one for each passenger. reallyitsmema Posted September 25, 2018 #7 Share Posted September 25, 2018 They are also needed to board the ship on some ships. Yes, they are, but if you don't have your set sail pass, they send you to a different line to have them printed for your entire party. Waste of time in my opinion, we have sailed Anthem multiple times and have been able to check in outside the terminal and walk right on the ship. Leisuretraveler can say it doesn't slow down his party at all, I will wave to them in line as I take my stamped set sail pass and board immediately. pcur Posted September 25, 2018 #8 Share Posted September 25, 2018 Last RCCL cruise we took in March the guard wouldn't even let us in the terminal BUILDING, because we only had one SetSail pass printed. But, then he noticed it had both our names on it.
SRF Posted September 25, 2018 #9 Share Posted September 25, 2018 SOME ships require you print one for each person. That is your boarding pass and your Sea Pass until the rooms open. Your actual Sea Pass cards will be in your room. Not all ships do this. Some still print one pass for the booking and you get your Sea Pass at checkin. reallyitsmema Posted September 25, 2018 #11 Share Posted September 25, 2018 Thanks, CC peeps! You're welcome. Seeing your other posts, you are sailing Harmony, which does have individual set sail passes for each person. Since your sailing is extremely soon, you will lose access to be able to print those set sail passes around 3 days prior to your cruise, so print them as soon as you can or else you won't be able to print at all!:)
Desert Cruizers Posted September 25, 2018 #12 Share Posted September 25, 2018 Up to our last cruise, 2017 on the Serenade I printed only the one Set Sail pass, however the year our daughter went with us, she was boarding at a different time ( Sydney, Aust ) so I printed an extra one for her so she had it to board. ma23peas Posted September 25, 2018 #16 Share Posted September 25, 2018 Oddly, the message that popped up after I printed my passes for each passenger (it printed one for each...they are all loaded one after the other), it said one roomkey would be available outside your stateroom and the others would be inside...what does this mean? Do they tape aroom entry key outside my door?
zanydoc Posted September 25, 2018 Author #17 Share Posted September 25, 2018 The last time I got the room key outside the door, it was in an envelope sticking out of this area just to the side of the door. Sorry I don’t have a photo, but they put a bunch of communiques up there.
Biker19 Posted September 26, 2018 #18 Share Posted September 26, 2018 Do they tape room entry key outside my door? As mentioned, your Seapass cards will be in a sealed envelope just outside your cabin - there's a slot that holds it.
Wine-O Posted September 26, 2018 #19 Share Posted September 26, 2018 As mentioned, your Seapass cards will be in a sealed envelope just outside your cabin - there's a slot that holds it. What's to prevent someone else from mistakenly taking your keys and entering your stateroom? We've always gotten our seapass cards at check in. Next month we will be on Anthem and going thru this process. I don't feel warm and fuzzy.
Biker19 Posted September 26, 2018 #20 Share Posted September 26, 2018 What's to prevent someone else from mistakenly taking your keys and entering your stateroom? Nothing, but history and lots of cameras say that rarely if ever happens.

If they used the card that is left outside your cabin then I assume you had not been in your cabin yet. There would be nothing to steal. Maybe make a little mess. Maybe they had started to unpack. I think if someone did go into your cabin it would be by mistake. The person would probably be quite embarrassed. Would probably be something to laugh at after the initial shock of having someone in your cabin
Clarea Posted September 26, 2018 #23 Share Posted September 26, 2018 ... There would be nothing to steal. ... Might be wine, champagne, soft drinks. liquor, etc., that had been ordered pre-cruise. Still, haven't heard of a single issue with this process.
