Bliss & Escape deck plan side by side

Thanks,

I'M really surprised that they constructed the ship with less cabins, and high revenue ones at that, when most other lines are adding cabins to new and dry dock ships.

Two things that I will miss on the Bliss are, Howling at the Moon and Walking the Plank. I think the race track is a one and done kind of attraction but can't wait to try it in April. It would be nice on the next build if they can do a lazy river in it's place or have the ability to flood the track and make it a dual purpose attraction. I know the center of gravity will probably not allow it but it's nice to dream.

April can't get here soon enough, I can't wait, it will be my first transatlantic and my first time on a inaugural cruise. Do ships have that new ship smell like cars?:)

Thank you........it is really fun and informative doing the comparisons. I enjoy seeing the additions but, even more so, what they have brought back from some older ships.

I agree with you about the fewer cabins (although I didn't count :-) As wonderful as a lazy river would be, I believe it would be too cumbersome to drain (cleaning and in high seas) They would have to have a pretty high fee to keep the lines manageable.

Don't give up on the dueling piano type show; I see at least one venue they could set up for it.

I don't know about the new ship smell; it will be my first TA, also. There seems to be many repeaters on our roll call, so maybe they can enlighten us.

Only about 8 more months:ship::cocktail::beer-mug::champagne-toast:

Haven't paid much attention to Bliss--surprised to see the spa and buffet flipped fore to aft. That'll be very weird. I've always enjoyed the forward views of the thermal suite, especially when docking, but I suppose aft could be cool too.

(It definitely has a thermal suite, right?)

The Escape has 2094 cabins where as the Bliss will have 2043 cabins. This means that the Bliss will hold 100 less passengers when compared to its sister the Escape. I'm very proud of NCL for building a bigger ship, with more activities, and less people. They are headed in the right direction. Expierience over cost!

I wonder if they are going to fix the smoke problem with the Casino by having that area walled off from the rest of the Atrium? The Escape smells like a dirty ashtray on 6/7/8 - and it was definitely noticeable at all times. When the casino is open, the smoke smell is noxious.

The inflated prices more than make up for that.

Losing 2 DOS and all 4 OS (compared to Escape) while expanding the Haven sundeck is surprising....not that I'm complaining or anything.;)

I wonder if getting rid of those very high dollar cabins will really cost them that much. I'd love to see numbers on how many times Escape OS and DOS actually book at asking price vs upsell/upgrade at discount prices. To me, the Bliss layout answers the question.

I never really looked to book the OS but the DOS usually sells at regular price...especially the exact one that I wanted. The asking prices can be insane during holidays so I can see that going to an upsell bid.

IMO, it would have been better to lose the deck 18 DOS and keep the 2 on deck 17 because of the better balcony and lack of sundeck noise.

Looking at the plan, part of the casino does indeed look walled off. How nice would that be.

wow, that is an excellent idea of flooding the track and making it a lazy river! Much more relaxing. Better than the slides too! Woohoo!

On the Breakaway I enjoyed the Aft views from the buffet. They moved the buffet forward on the Epic. Not as good.

Really love the side by side comparison! Thanks for posting this:D

And it does look good for them closing off that smoking area in the casino which would be a vast improvement.

The Observation Lounge (non-Haven) is looks much bigger than I would have hoped for. It appears to take up about a third of deck 15. Do you think they will hold some type of events in this space too?

Thanks for the comparison!!!! Looks like other than the pool, all other free activities on the higher decks are gone. No Sports deck, mini golf or ropes course. The only thing available has a fee. Oh what Bliss!.

Interesting point. I didn't notice because while I like cruises, I'm not much of a sports person. Sorry to folks who are losing that stuff. I guess it's the laser tag that's an upcharge?
