I always dread last day of a cruise but I guess that just means I have enjoyed it. Thank you so much for your wonderful commentary and pictures. I've felt (almost) like I was on the cruise with you and have drooled over your photography. I hope you have a safe trip home and I'll look forward to seeing more pictures and your video.

Thank you Mark. I really do hope that someday we'll cruise together again! I feel like I'm the one who owes you a drink for all the enjoyment you've given me on this board. ;) :D

I have cruised 10 times, and each time I always feel a sense of melancholy on the last day. I also find when I start out I think "wow, 7 nights" (or 14 or 12, or whatever) "that's a long time" and I'm so delighted to be away from the usual and customary of life. Then by mid-trip, I start to feel the "uh oh" and have actually heard myself say "only" x "days left". I also tend to get excited about a cruise way earlier than a land based trip. Glad I'm not alone.

Great info, thank you.. Quick questions- do they have the ravens game on?! And, for others in my group, can you advise on indoor designated smoking areas? Hope you have a great last night!

Yes, it is playing in the Pavilion Lounge (w/nachos and Hot Dogs), and in Fortunes Casino. . .

Hello everyone. . . This cruise is not over yet !

I was delighted to be offered a tour of the Engine Control Room by Chief Engineer Christos Tasioulopoulos. We had the tour at 1130AM. The Engine Control room is Midship just below Deck 3.

We were not allowed to see the Engine Room, because there are very steep steps, and it is very noisy. . .but we were able to witness the engines in operation via several monitors.

Hotel Maintenance Mgr. Nicolas Guida was able to explain many questions that passengers asked, and he seemed like he loved to be able to talk about what he is responsible for.

The Mercury can use up to 100k Gallons of diesel fuel per day. What ? Did I hear that right ? Yes . . That is a lot of fuel. It was also interesting to know that all of the Whirlpools, the Palm Springs Pool are all fresh water.

He was very entertaining when he discussed about keeping a clove of garlic at every terminal for good luck !

Here are a few pics from the tour. . .

Thanks for tuning in !

Wow, it's amazing enough that this even happens, but to see that it starts and stops on such a well defined boundary is just astonishing!

Thanks again, Radio, for all the great photos and updates and also for responding about the free in-port wi-fi. I hope you enjoy your final evening.

Are there WI FI Hot Spots on the Ship.

Gail: I was going to answer on our rollcall, but I'll answer here to save Radio some time. The wifi hot spots are Cova Cafe (Deck 6), inside and just outside the computer room by the cinema & public pcs (Deck 6), and I believe Michael's Club (Deck 8). Sometimes you can get a connection elsewhere but it may not be as strong. If anyone has any additions, please let us know. Kathy

Awesome pictures, Radio!

I had always heard the pools, etc. were seawater. Interesting to hear they're fresh water. What about the T pool? Seems to me sea water would be part of the mineral effect. That's the only pool I ever go in.

The T-Pool, and LaPlaya pools are saltwater, and the PalmSprings Pool and Whirlpools are fresh water.

Radio, FYI Pride sailed at 1900.

Wow. . .She left late. I don't think I'll be able to stay up long enough to get a photo of her. (Carnival Pride)

RADIO Thanks for all the time you spent this cruise in posting your journey on CC. I do not know what I will do until 2/26 unless someone picks up where you leave off. Can you ytell me what type of camera you have? Is it the camera or the camerman, pr perhaps both, that makes these shots so clear?

I do hope you have a speedy disembarkation in the morning and safe ride home. Finally, I look forward to another "LIVE" broadcast soon.
