suni Posted January 5, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2014 (edited) Day one went very well. Easy embarkation. The ship is full. Older crowd than I expected. ( We are early 50's) Very few children. Aqua Suite is wonderful. Mid ship and I can feel the ship movement a bit but it is very subtle. The suite is comparable to the Jr. Suite we book on RCCL. Plenty of closet space and drawers. Nice balcony. Bathroom could be larger. Dinner in Blue was very good and we had excellent service . I LOVE the ambiance of the different lounges and restaurants. I enjoyed one of THE BEST massages I have ever had at Sea yesterday. Great promo if you book 3 treatments for the week when you get on the ship. Went to the opening show last night and it was actually very good. Went to the Sin City show and left. Will try it again another night. Did not go to Elite Happy Hour. we have the premium drink package so everything is already included. Casino was hopping. More later. Any questions? I will try to get answers. :) Edited January 5, 2014 by suni
C 2 C Posted January 5, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 5, 2014 Any questions? I will try to get answers. :) Thank you for the offer. Could you post the names of the senior officers (Captain, HD, CD) on board as well as the CC host(ess)?
Janet987 Posted January 5, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 5, 2014 Thanks, Suni..have a wonderful cruise. We'll be boarding as you depart. There is no Elite function on embarkation day, but interested to know if they use coupons or sky lounge this week. Either one is fine with us, but curious after all the discussions here. I love Blu, glad you enjoyed it too. Don't miss breakfast..my favorite time of day in the restaurant. Have a relaxing and fun sea day!
nyyhoneybee Posted January 5, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 5, 2014 Following we leave Jan 25 on her! I get the feeling my 6 month old will be one of the few infants on board Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
Rare MVPinBoynton Posted January 5, 2014 #5 Share Posted January 5, 2014 Suni, If you left the Sin City show because it was too crowded, get there 20-30 minutes early and you will have no problem. If you left because you didn't like the show, there is no reason to go back another night because it is the same show every night. Have a great cruise and tell CD Alexander Hi from Mike and Carol if you can. He does try to meet everyone on the ship. A very passenger friendly CD. AlexDouglass Posted January 5, 2014 #6 Share Posted January 5, 2014 We'll be following you in a couple of weeks, so I'll ask you the question that's on my husband's mind - how are the pool temperatures? We'll like a warm pool, and we hope that especially the Solarium is well-heated - doesn't have to be bathwater, but any guesses as to the temperature? Phxazzcruisers Posted January 5, 2014 #7 Share Posted January 5, 2014 We just got off the Reflection, and you should be happy. There were a LOT, and I mean a LOT of children on board for the New Year sail. Enjoy a nice, quiet relaxing cruise. We had a great time despite all of the children, and adults that acted worse than children. Ask for Jose in Blu, he is the very best. Th\ell him Gil and Scott say hi and miss him already !! Have a great cruise

Phxazzcruisers Posted January 5, 2014 #9 Share Posted January 5, 2014 Are the pools packed??? They were over crowded on the New Year Sail. Very hard to find a lounge on nice days at sea
cynbar Posted January 5, 2014 #10 Share Posted January 5, 2014 How is the music piped in throughout the ship ? We have had multiple reports of too loud, techno type music everywhere to the point it is distracting. Also, how is the service in the bars and lounges? We'll be on Reflection in May. packercruising Posted January 5, 2014 #11 Share Posted January 5, 2014 We will be on Reflection next month. Hope Alexander is still there as I have read good reports about him. Usually we aren't real impressed with the CD.

Phxazzcruisers Posted January 5, 2014 #14 Share Posted January 5, 2014 Entertainment os subjective, but we thought it was very good on our voyage. The Reflection Stars do an excellent job, and work very hard to put on a great show. The guest entertainers, a ventriloquist was superb and the comic juggler was also very good. There is a late night show called Sin City which is also entertaining. Enjoy

chicagopaul Posted January 5, 2014 #17 Share Posted January 5, 2014 So envious of you right now as I'm looking at snow and expecting -20 temperatures tomorrow! If you are a drinker tell Ricardo, Agus and Hector at the Martini Bar that Paul and Edward "Kill' say hello. Ricardo will definitely remember us! They are all amazing in making their drinks and their service. Enjoy!!! Cheers!
Rare keesar Posted January 5, 2014 #18 Share Posted January 5, 2014 W Ask for Jose in Blu, he is the very best. Have a great cruise I second this. Jose C. is among the best waiters in Blu. We had him on the Eclipse and on the Reflection. He was able to deal with the increased number of diners in Blu on the Reflection and still get to know his guests. Great guy! Phxazzcruisers Posted January 8, 2014 #25 Share Posted January 8, 2014 So... Dying to know more! Just read a few terrible reviews about the Reflection... Could really use done good news! :-) Hmmmmm. Just looked at the reviews. We were on the New Year Cruise. Ship was packed, we were in Aqua Class and loved it. We NEVER had an issue getting into Blu, and the food was, in our opinion, excellent. We ate there every night except one, when we went to Tuscan Grill. We were seated immediately and there were plenty of empty tables while we were there. We had excellent service. Breakfast was the same as dinner, plenty of room, great service, and excellent food. Not sure why the reviewers had such a bad experience.
