Spending OBC

We have $300 OBC for a May cruise on Millennium. We will probably upgrade to Premium drink package but how else to spend? We don't buy photos or shop on the ship. I've already booked our excursions. I wasn't thinking and I booked a specialty restaurant online. Wondering if I should cancel and rebook onboard? How else to spend $150?

We never book the beverage package, since we could never drink that much.

I have found that the OBC gets eaten up and more with daily gratuities, modest shopping and drinks.

Gratuities.

Forgot to say our fare includes gratuities, classic drink package as well as $300 OBC. Normally don't buy a drink package at all but thought by upgrading we could get some better wines. I guess I could use some OBC to purchase some bottles of wine to take home rather than let it go to waste!

Just remember, there is a limit on bringing back booze and I am guessing wine without a duty fee to our Uncle Sam. Not sure what the magic number is though as I always brought back cigarettes...:)

We are in the same boat (maybe not same sailing). Booked with the 123 package and that gave us the drink package, gratuities and $300 OBC because we booked a suite. We've never had a drink package and now we'll have that as well as Michael's so that takes care of pre-dinner drinks. We'll probably upgrade to premium drink package for the same reason ... better wine. I will wait until we are onboard and if we decide on an excursion, that will use some of it up. A friend suggested this is the perfect time to book a massage, which we also have never done. So I think somehow we will use up that OBC. I will absolutely not let it go to waste. I've been reading suggestions about getting cash from casino, so will keep that in mind too. What a wonderful thing to worry about!

Thanks, I hadn't thought of a spa treatment. We are on a northern Aladka cruise so I didn't want to wait until on the ship to book excursions since we have specific ones in mind. But the spa might be calling!

Go shopping in the shops for a good bag or some costume jewelry/scarves. Go in the nice clothing shop and buy

If any of your excursions are ship's and ones not likely to sell out, you could cancel and rebook the moment you get on board.

Nice problem to have, huh!

Ours disappeared with internet plus a few drinks out with the premium package.

We did the premium upgrade in advance as exchange rate was better that way.

We want to upgrade our classic to a premium before we board. How did you do this, did you ring Celebrity or did you do it online and just pay the difference, can you tell me what that is.

Thanks

They told me when you get on board -- you can have them put the amount you paid already for ressies, as a credit on the Credit card you use on board! So I imagine at the end of the cruise you would see that as a credit on what you purchased for tours etc. Check with them
