I just got off the phone, as I received 20CCS102 this afternoon. My first offer. I was also told it was for any cruise to Coco Cay, but apparently Cape Liberty isn't included as any port.

Gayle, is there a sailing from Cape Liberty to Coco Cay ? The rep told me...looks like any sailing to Coco Cay.

When will I see my Prime certificate?

First year on Royal and thus first time making Prime?

We don’t really know. Last year I think they came out on the 14th of April but everything is delayed this year because of everything going on.

Thanks was wondering if others had their certificates or most are waiting due to the 'Rona.

I was told last week by Club Royale rep that the 2020 earned offers would be loaded in May. Of course last year they were loaded in early April. If you still have one from 2019 they do have a record of it.

Myonline Club Royale offer page is currently empty. As is my wife's.

I just got this email from Club Royale concerning the 2019 earned benefit cruise.

The reissued 2019 annual Tier benefit is valid for sailings departing on or before 3/31/2021, but it does need to be applied to a reservation no later than 5/31/2020.

Wow, that doesn’t give you much time.

Exactly. I sent club royale email to confirm that statement. They confirmed it.  I did point out it would be nice to have the full time to make sure this cruising season actually gets going again. I don't know who else to fuss to.

Our annual freebie (in March)  for the yr  Ap'19- Mar 31,20 was canceled. On our offer site it had been saying I can rebook it & exp.May31'20,  but now it says exp 3/31/21.

We now have a Royal casino host, who actually called me today to rebook it (we're not sure when yet). I asked him about that expiration change. He said May31'20 was an error, &  it must be used by Mar31'21, but you can book it up to the day or two before the cruise-no deadline!!  (if there are still cabins left of course)

This is what ours now says on the site:

2020 CRUISE WITH CONFIDENCE - CLUB ROYALE REWARDS  exp 3/31/2021    19TIERCWC1

I have 1 in my list but it has expired, so basically empty.

Mine has 3 entries with first one being the 2020 Close to Home that  expired on April 17th (last week).  The second is a $500 certificate I got on the Symphony in March this year (we were on the last cruise that disembarked March 14th and was last year's tier cruise). The third entry is a listing of my Host's name and phone number.

Still nothing in mine nor my wife's Club Royale online account. Odd those Prime's and the one they owe me don't show there.

Galveston Port Authority is having a meeting today. Items on the agenda include: Royal had asked them to allow Anthem to dock at terminal 2. I guess to replace Allure ? Which will not have a terminal 3 ready until 2022, maybe.

Maybe some good news ?

"We found out that CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association) did actually change this requirement on April 3rd. So a health form is no longer required for those travelers ages 70 plus, nor are there restrictions for those guests with underlying health conditions."

"In our current environment, everything can change at a moment's notice, so this is very fluid. But as of today, there are no requirements for doctor's notes."

More FWIW

The Miami-based cruise line has announced a major effort to make sure thousands of crew members get back to their home countries. Carnival has detailed plans for 18 Carnival cruise ships to meet in the Bahamas over the next several days.

When the cruise ships meet, crew members will be transferred to the correct vessel via water shuttles off the coast of the Bahamas. A total of nine vessels between them will take more than 10,000 healthy crew members back home. Those nine vessels will then sail to specific regions around the world to repatriate crew including Asia, Africa, Europe, India, and Latin America.

Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line, said.

I checked ship locator and counted at least 12 Carnival ships in the Bahamas.

The doctor's letter for those 70+ has been dropped based on CLIA's revised guidelines for all of the major cruise line members including Royal.  See the article at https://www.cruisecritic.com/news/5322/

I counted 45 cruise ships in that area.

From cruise industry news

https://www.cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/22851-carnival-is-using-ships-to-get-crew-home.html

Eighteen Carnival Cruise Line ships will rendezvous in The Bahamas over the next several days as the final plans are put in place to sail nine of the ships to repatriate more than 10,000 healthy crew, according to a press release.

The ships have been at various U.S. homeports provisioning supplies and bunkering fuel for their journeys. Certain crew will join ships using water shuttles off the coast of The Bahamas. Once completed, nine ships will sail to their destinations with crew from North American-based ships onboard.

The remaining nine ships will spend most of their time in anchorage positions in The Bahamas or Panama and eventually all ships will reduce their crew numbers to safe operational manning levels, Carnival said.

“The safety and well-being of our team members continues to be a top priority. Given the pause in our operations, we are committed to getting our crew members safely home to their families. We sincerely thank them for their hard work, patience and understanding during this process. We would also like to thank the government of The Bahamas for their support of this operation, as well as the CDC, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Customs and Border Protection and local port agencies,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.

Crew members who will be returning home have undergone a health check and cleared fit for travel by Carnival’s medical team.

Prior to Carnival’s pause in operations on March 13, its fleet of 27 ships had nearly 29,000 crew members onboard. Since that time, Carnival has already repatriated more than 10,000 crew via flights and another 10,000 will be traveling on the nine voyages leaving this week, the company said.

Approximately 6,000 additional crew will be repatriated by air charters or three ships that already departed from Australia and Long Beach. By the time all these movements are completed, the Carnival fleet will be down to approximately 3,000 crew members identified for safe operational manning, plus several hundred that will be repatriated as quickly as possible.
