Hi.

For anyone that has been in a beach cabana, can you please let me know if below is correct. Someone from a face group said below comes with the cabana:

The price includes:

*Air Conditioning in the cabana

*Golf cart too/from

*Cheese and fruit plates

*Bottled waters

*Sound system

*Bathroom with shower

*Outdoor showers

*Butler/concierge

Thanks so much!

Can anyone confirm that you can now charge food/drinks to your shipboard account? If you were able, what venue were you at? We have an OBC that we are earmarking for food/drink at Harvest Caye.

Thanks,

Lori

We charged our meal at landshark landing on our sail card. BTW, don't order the fried shrimp. They were absolutely awful. I got the fish sandwich (blackened flounder) which was good. The wife ordered the fried shrimp and I have had better food from a quick mart. Hard to believe there could be that much discrepancy in the food quality, but there was.

We used our room key at the pool bar.

Thanks! We'll heed your advice on the fried shrimp - I might have ordered that. I'm surprised your wife didn't confiscate your fish sandwich :D

We rented a beach cabana & your list is correct. Altho I must confess that I don't remember the sound system? There is a fridge filled with bottled water. There were also beach towels provided so no need to bring one from the ship.

We loved the experience!!

I noticed from a previous poster that they posted a picture of those Havest Caye Beach Towels, by chance do they have those for sale?

Hi.

Does anyone know if there is a map that shows the cabanas on Harvest Cay and if that map shows the Cabana numbers?

I haven't heard anyone requesting a specific Cabana but I would like one at the end or close to the end of row of cabanas.

I'll be in the Haven and thinking I may have a shot at a request if I let the concierge know a specific number.

Thank you!

How do you post your photos? I tried to add a photo as an attachment and it limits the photo size where the quality is gone.

Also we went to the liquor store, and the prices were lower than the ship. I bought a liter of Patron Reposado for $35 and no tax. The ship wanted $43 for 750 ml.

We also had a few 16 oz bottles of soda for $2 each. That's less than a vending machine- lol We were pleased with the food prices and also had the nachos.

Hi John not sure on the pics. I'm using my iPad mini and I just click on picture iconfa538d3ef2f8b9fccd59c05e0a51cc0a.jpg and then always choose medium which is in the middle there is a "best" choice also.

1 cheese plate and 1 fruit plate. Six bottles of water. I couldn't find the sound system. Golf cart will also take you anytime where you want to go. Enjoy.

I charged everything even jewelry which my casino credit paid for half of it. Showed up as an excursion. Was there 12/1.

Do you have the CruiseCritic app? That seems to work best, and allows for large images.

Unrelated - I had to fire up the snowblower this morning. Maybe we should meet up at Maya Chan later in the week.

Sigh.

Thanks Doug. I am old fashioned using a PC for all my photos and video. I may have to put them on my I-Pad, but not my first choice. Sorry for your snow moving work...I'm not going to mentioned how hot it is here in Texas..LOL

I wouldn't call the Wi-Fi free... You did have to fork over $499 for that cabana; it should include Wi-Fi... Free? Not to me it's not. :)

The ship's staff vigorously claim there's no WiFi at all on the island to explain why there is no provision for even PAID WiFi (for non Cabanas guests).

More seriously, on the 11/28 sailing with pax count of 4800, the pool was wall to wall people, there were some unshaded loungers by the Cabanas and the drinking water had run out by mid morning everywhere but at the entrance. Shameful.

No apologies from the line.

For 10 days, I requested the $150 port charges be broken down to indicate how much we were paying NCL for the private beach experience. Even though this is now mandated to be public information, I was refused such.

Anyone know?

I wrote a short trip report of our experience on Harvest Caye with photos.

It's located on Google Blogger: http://mrtexastj.blogspot.com/

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask...

Very informative!!! Looks great. We had our cruise in September where we tendered. I have to say, I am really glad we got to visit the mainland and do the cave tubing. Having had that experience, I would love to see Harvest Caye in the future. NCL did a wonderful job.
