My plan for the day was going to be go to Orient Beach for a few hours, grab a Guavaberry Colada or two, then return. :)

The more I thought about it, I know a small beach that is within walking distance of the ship, maybe I'll just go there. Skip the expense and hubbub of Orient. You know, dog sledding in Alaska isn't going to pay for itself. :D

I was thinking at breakfast about how St Maarten got 2 different names. I bet some guy from Boston asked what's the name of this place and they said, St Martin. Aaah, he said, St Maarten.:eek:

OK, Maureen out.

Saint Martin (French: Saint-Martin; Dutch: Sint Maarten) is an island in the northeast Caribbean, approximately 300 km (190 mi) east of Puerto Rico. The 87-square-kilometre (34 sq mi) island is divided roughly 60/40 between France (53 km2, 20 sq mi)[1] and the Kingdom of the Netherlands (34 km2, 13 sq mi);[2] the two parts are roughly equal in population though, with slightly more people living on the Dutch side. It is the smallest inhabited island divided between two nations. The division dates to 1648. The southern Dutch part comprises Sint Maarten and is one of four constituent countries that form the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The northern French part comprises the Collectivité de Saint-Martin (Collectivity of St. Martin) and is an overseas collectivity of France.

Hey, Maureen, I know you aren't doing the MDR dinner, but could you find out what times the Main and Late seatings are? I know its different in Europe, but reading the MSC threads I see references to 5:30, 5:45 and 6 for Early.

Have a great time in St. Martin! And enjoy the rest of the cruise!

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. ;) Andrew, you know sometimes us girls need to concentrate to make things "happen". :D

When I read this to Lisa she was laughing out. The good thing is we won't need to practice laughing for when we sail together next. It will come all on its own.

Hey, is anybody out there? I tried to go to the webcam, but, I can't stream video. If the camera is still on the aft of the ship, I can go out there and act a fool. :D:D:D:D

I can see the aft camera Maureen.

I was out there waving my towelat sailaway. For some reason, I thought sailaway was 7pm. Mike said the camera wasn't zoomed in. If you saw an orange towel, that was me. :D

The show tonight is Witches of Paris, I'm going twice. I'll post about my day's adventures later tonight. :)

Haaaaaa!!!! Boca,,,You'll have to travel to South Kingston, Rhode Island to a little place called Pasquale's,,,that's where the pizza that I posted came from. The pizza onboard MSC Divina is exactly the same though.:D You can get a fresh pizza onboard MSC Divina from La Cantina Di Bacco on deck 7.:)

Oops, CC is acting a fool, made me post earlier than I wanted to. Here is the pic where you can see a star, to the left and slightly down from the moon.

Holy Schmoly! I think I discovered another earth! Call CNN, call Neil Degrasse Tyson, call somebody! :D

So, that's it for now, I'm skipping the show tonight, it's just singers, I might see if I can get in a little night swimming. I have a friend who works on this ship, too. I spoke to him briefly yesterday, might see if I can find him tonight. ;)

I bet is it is JUPITER The brightest object in the night sky other than the moon at the moment. If not it is Procyon from the constellation Canis minor

This is so true,,,I'm originally from Upstate New York, but after living in Florida for the past 25+ years and then moving up to Rhode Island last year,,we've noticed a difference in the taste of many things,,,for the better I might add. Must be the water!!!:D

Have you tried Chowder and clamcakes yet? How about Coffee milk?

I moved to Florida when I was 18 then Atlanta now back in Florida. You just cant get good bread down here. And no good fish and chips!!!! Have fun in RI. Its great! I miss it at times but I do love the south

I was introduced to coffee milk not to long ago,,,delicious,,,and my new found love is Narraganset Beer,,even though it's brewed in Rochester,NY.!! Excellent fish and chips, and we really like having a bakery (Antonio's) close by to pick up fresh bread and pastries!! I do miss Florida though,,,but the mid-70's here today with no humidity is making me miss it less!!!:D:D

I cannot tell you how enjoyable it is to read your daily review!!! I would love to meet you in person - you would be one good travel mate!!

My sister has room 11264 on the June 4th cruise. We are on the side of the ship in a larger balcony room.

A question........can you find out if the room steward will lend you an iron and ironing board?? When we were on NCL we saw a cabin get them delivered. I know the iron is a prohibited item to bring on board. I was surprised about NCL providing one.

We are drinking along with you......oops, almost 12:00 noon. Time to pour that wine.

Thanks for the great review so far..since you are a black card member, did you or are you planning to go to the complimentary specialty restaurant? If you go please let us know what they offer and how it was. Also, did they have a welcome aboard party with drinks? Would like to know how the voyagers black card party is, and what is served. Thanks
