Have I ever on a cruise observed anyone missing the ship? Yes! Last fall on the Gem on the New England cruise. The Gangway was pulled up and the couple were on the covered walkway and didn't realize that the ship was pulling away...They left them. Fortunately the next port was not too far away and made it back on board the next day.
