$3.84 for a can of Coca Cola is a bit much

I had a great time on Enchantment, but $3.84 for a CAN of Coca-Cola---OUCH!!!! I'm not a fan of fountain pop so didn't want to buy the $8/day package. The the mini bar card in my cabin said that a six pack would cost $12 +15% gratuity, which is pretty decent for a cruise ship; however, my oceanview cabin did not have a fridge. Yes, I could have had the room steward bring me ice. I didn't do enough research on the cruise to find out if I could have brought a 12 pack onboard. I'm gold C&A member so I would have been able to take advantage of a 2 for 1 coke once. Other cruise lines charge much less for cans of pop. A few months ago Princess sold cans for $2.25 +gratuity. Sorry for the vent, but thought to inform others of the price.

Captive audience and people pay it.

The prices on everything will continue to creep up until people say ENOUGH and business starts to suffer. I think RCI has been on a fast track mission to find that threshold with a lot of their offerings lately.

Yes...the prices they are now charging are highway robbery. It's greed personified. And yet...folks pay the price. I don't understand it. If customers reject what's being offered, the prices would fall. Supply and demand...common sense.

No they go up so the ones willing to pay, end up paying more

This is, by far, your best option. I like to bring a six-pack of screw-top Diet Dr. Peppers -- double ziplocked and tucked into my suitcase. No problem.

And this is why I'll be bringing Coke Zero on my August cruise. Liberty does not have the coke machines yet and I find the bar hose soda to be disgusting ( I drink a lot of soda) I have my coke zero like others have coffee ( or beer;))

Anybody know if the Liberty has any plans on getting the freestyle machines? Really don't understand why this isn't fleet wide yet?

$3.84 for a can of Coke - that makes the drink package @ $8.00 a day almost paid for with two cans. That is really high. It seems like it went up from about $2.25 to $3.25 to $3.84 quite fast. Maybe there was a price after $2.25 and before $3.25.

I buy the soda package, but I also wish the freestyle machines were on all ships. We will be on the Navigator in March and they do not have them.

I don't mind fountain drinks, but occasionally the mix is wrong. Usually it is OK and I just get the drink cup they give me refilled. Most bartenders do it graciously, and if there are no Freestyle machines, we have to go to bars to get a refill.

For everyone mentioning Coke Zero and bringing it on, smart move.

Here on Oasis it has been somewhat of a rare gem. It also seemed at times they only wanted to give a pour/pop a can for those with the Deluxe package.

On the flip side, more than happy to take Diamond vouchers for cans of Zero. At least when they could be found.

Princess also has a canned pop package which you pay for 5 cans and get the 6th can free which makes it an even better deal.

I was on indy in july and reluctantly purchased the soda package due to the price of a can😩, however i was pleasantly surprised to find out that over half the fountains out of order and they were using bottles and can to refill the cups 😁

The cruise line has not publicly announced any plans for Freestyle machine deployments.

Close to the going price in Europe. Barcelona, a few years ago when the euro was about 1.75 to the dollar, it was 3.5 eros for a 33 liter bottle.

Now days with the Euro almost even it would be around $3.5.

my son and I are cruising on Navigator this summer. I REFUSE to spend over $200 CDN dollars for soda. I then looked at the other non alcohol package...over $500 CDN. unreal.

I will drink whatever is free, and will be trying to get a case of pop on. No biggie if it doesnt work.
