Buy bathing suit onboard RCCL ship?

I was wondering if there are any clothing shops onboard if one forgot to bring a bathing suit or swim trunks?

What ship are you sailing on? I forgot to bring my swimsuit when we sailed on the Indy. There is a shop with swimsuits but nothing was my size. So, even if you find a swimsuit, it might not fit. I was able to buy one when we got off the ship in Falmouth.

Yes, there are clothing stores on the ships, the larger ships have more stores. There will be a limited amount of bathing suits and the prices are typically, pretty high, but if you were to forget one, something is better than nothing.

The ships do have a store that sells clothes and usually has a small selection of men's and women's swimwear - usually on the expensive rather expensive swimwear. for example, I know I've seen Quiksilver and Roxy brands.

 

If you actually forget something, it might be better to shop in a port of call

I've seen swimsuits but expensive and usually small sizes. Larger ships would have more choices but I agree with the suggestion of buying one in port.

As others have said, you can find expensive swim suits

 

Please do keep in mind that they do NOT stock thong style swimsuits, for either men or women. For those, you have to go to the shops on the port.

I forgot my nylons and went to see what they had, which was only black & white, nothing I could or would wear so wore slacks that night

Make a list of all the things you need to pack (including toiletries/sundries) It is about $12 for 4 Advils. :eek:

You would probably have better luck shopping in your embarkation port :)

As others have said, expensive and lmited sizes. And watch out if they have just returned from the summer European sailings, they might only have the old stock of mens' teeny, tiny Speedo's.:eek:

You MIGHT be able to find something....but it's much easier to bring what you need! If you're not wearing it this time of year, go ahead and stick it in the suitcase NOW!

I had to buy a swimsuit in Curacao after forgetting a bag at home with all my swimwear. Old San Juan, Puerto Rico wanted over $80 for a suit! I don't think so. Got one for $20 in Curacao.

I had to buy one on Allure. $140 later I had something that resembled a few strings that was much too small for me. Unless you are very petite, good luck buying on board.

Do people still wear nylons? :) I used to take pantyhose but don't even do that now. Bare legs for me.
