3- In the casino, were there the same type of machines in the non-smoking area as in the smoking area? (In case I have to search for my favorite machines.)

Many of the same machines in the smoking section. Most notably missing are Lock-It-Link (sadly) and Heidi’s Beer House (thank goodness). At least the Lock-It-Link machines were right next to the smoking area so you could keep an eye on your machine.

The slot attendants were very nice, knowledgeable, and helpful.

Have loved following the live threads but still have a couple of questions in any of you could answer:

1- Did anyone see the Prohibition show? Any details? Cost?

Very enjoyable show, featuring the women singing & dancing to old standards (not all prohibition era).

The price was $24.95, but included 5 era cocktails (Moscow Mule, Bourbon Old Fashioned, Mint Julep, Bourbon Whiskey Sour & Sea Captain)

This is a show specifically geared toward the drinking and a bit risqué, though good adult fun. Under age are not allowed to attend. The drinks are pre made, so virgin options are not available. The drinks were a rational size and not too strong, but quite nice.

2- What were your favorite 'Local' items. The new menu looks interesting.

The Local offered typical pub fare, with some interesting sandwiches and salads and a few hot meals. The grilled cheese sandwich was very popular, as well as 3 style of wings. For the TA they offered a great special every night and the Prime Rib was exceptionally good.

I just booked for my friend and I in solo cabins for Feb of 2019! I've only cruised once before (very recently on Getaway and now i'm addicted!) but i loved the solo lounge and cabin.

We are actually considering upgrading to a shared balcony instead - can anyone offer input for us? Will it be worth it to forgo our little special lounge and independent space to share a basic balcony somewhere?

Also, is there anything similar to the cirque show in the illusionarium?

Thank you all for the great information!!!!

I know there has been a little talk but not much about the balcony size deck 17 vs 18 for The Haven. I have done numerous searches here on CC as well as fb and internet in general and come up with nothing.

Yesterday I bit the bullet and changedour reservation from the MA Mini Suite on deck 11 to an H5 Haven on deck 17.

What is very different withthe Bliss over the Escape, and early Breakaway class is first the ObservationLounges but also Deck 17 appears to have drastically larger balconies but yetno one has gotten any picture of these nor does anyone really know much information.

On previous Haven One Bedroomcabins the interior of the cabin is 270 sq ft and the balconies have always been quitesmall at 54 sq ft. This is the same for even the Haven on the Pearl, Gem, Jadeand Jewel. But with the Jewel class the one bedroom Havens the cabins are muchlarger. We were in one on the Jewel 3 years ago.

OK anyway per NCL repsfor the Bliss on Deck 18 cabins 18114, 18123, 1822 are all 270 sq ft in thecabin and balcony is 54 sq ft but cabin 18126 the cabin is 270 sq ft but thebalcony is 138 sq ft. NCL is unsure if there is a type of a wrap balcony orwhat but they have confirmed the larger balcony.

Then jump down to deck 7 ithas been rumored on CC that there is 2 to 3 more feet width of balcony deck space, allof the H5 cabins are the same 270 sq ft but NCL reps are telling me for my sailing cabins 17114, 17120, 17122 all have104 sq ft of balcony and the big one is 17126 with 146 sq ft of balcony. Yes,you guessed it I booked 17126 J I would love to have someone that has been in the Haven show pictures or advise on this. On another web side that shows deck plans there shows awhite space that overlooks the Sun Deck that is private for the Haven sothinking that is part of it but not known for sure.

Does anyone have any ideas??

I think if you look at where I circled you will see that the edge of the lounge is further out than where the balcony doors are this the extra balcony floor space. JMO

I do believe you could be right here but what is interesting is that for my September Alaska sailing only a couple of H5 cabins are remaining on deck 18 yet all of them were still available on deck 17. I would think people would be jumping all over getting a larger balcony plus not being below the outside hearing deck chairs being moved around. Or is it that no one really knows about the larger balconies and that NCL is hold out on some of the H5 deck cabins ;)

We are booked in a 2 bedroom Haven for the Dec. 01 2019 sailing and have been searching as well. There is a video just posted on YouTube that shows suite 17718 and yes it is way bigger. The balcony extends past the master bath windows. Just type in “NCL Bliss 17718” to see the video.

Hope this helps.

I can only reference the H4 and the balconies are bigger on deck 17 than those on 18. Also, I have been in Epic's and Escape's H4s and the balcony on deck 17 Bliss' was much larger. It's a very welcome change!

Thanks Yes I saw that one a few days ago, keep hoping to see one of the H5 One Bedroom Suites for deck 17 but wondering about the extra space making 17126 bigger than the rest.

We’re on the Sept 8-15 also and I have been watching the availability of the H5. I had guessed the prices would drop as much as they did from when I booked in December 2017 because they’re were still 15 H5 that weren’t selling at that price even after at least 6 price changes.

There were only 3 booked on Deck 17 out of the 15 available until you took the one today so now there are 14 left. Still hoping for one more drop!

I think a lot of people like to be on the restaurant level and away from the possible pool and lounge noise. I prefer to be on the level with the lounge which I frequent more than the restaurant. I didn’t realize the balcony was larger until a few weeks after I had booked it but was glad I did.

We were in 18126 and the balcony is much longer than the others. But the cabin directly below us, which I guess is `17126 the balcony is much deeper. They had 2 lounge chairs along with chairs and a table.

I know my husband took pictures. I will go thru them tomorrow and upload them.

We hardly used our balcony at all on the transatlantic but one thing about 18126 is hearing the deck chairs above us being moved around. We sleep late, so it's not early - it's more like 9am or so they start. But for us, that's annoying.

Does anyone know if the CC app is covered under NCL’s social media internet package?

I’m sailing Bliss to Alaska 6/23, thinking about doing a live blog of Alaska itinerary but not sure which package to book. Other than CC my social media is all I would to access while on vacation.

Someone was was on the Gem this morning when they pulled into NYC next to the Bliss and got some good pictures of the Haven and you can get a better idea of the balcony. I can see how 17126 and 18126 have the bigger balcony.

You will have a much better experience getting the balcony plus if you need time apart one goes on the balcony one stays inside LOL
