It's getting so close!! I can't wait! We are in an aft suite, so our cabin is not in the actual Haven area, but I am sure my hubby and I will spend lots of time there :) See you soon!!

Packguru- we are also in the June 11 sailing in Haven. Hope to meet you! Tiffany

I really appreciate this review. I'm going on June 25th and it's made me up my Haven upgrade bid a couple times. I was in the Haven on the BA once, but didn't really take full advantage of it. Hoping I get the upgrade. There are a lot of Haven rooms left, but they are sold out of the mini-suite class I am in.

For those sailing during the Americas Cup, consider an afternoon at the races. The free port "train" tram runs to the clock tower and a separate free train runs out to the village. You can walk, but there are no sidewalks along sections and all of the port traffic goes down that 2 lane road.

Cool! Thank you so much for this!! A lot of my questions have been answered. However, if I may...

Is the NY Strip a regular 'stand by' every night? Just in case nothing else appeals to me in the MDR..

The Cirque show is $40?!!!! Please clarify.

Thanks!!! Enjoy!

Yes. Everything under Classic Entrees including the NY Strip is offered every night. The Today's Featured Entrees are the specials of the night.

Cirque is $39.99+18% gratuity. (There are two tables on the stage called VIP, but they are kinda in back of the action.

Remember. Cirque seats first come does serve. One member of your party should be in line at least one hour before show time and your entire party 30 minutes before show time so the hostess can seat you. Havens guests will be seated first through a crew entrance so even if you are first in line, you will not get the best seats.

How is the Ocean Blue restaurant on board the breakaway. How would you rate it compared to other specialty restaurants.

We were not a fan of Ocean Blue when it was run by Geoffrey Zakarian. Still not a big fan post-iron chef. We have eaten their 5 times on the BA and GA and would not recommend it if you had only one specialty meal on the ship.

I was on the Gem this week, I think the MDR menus were the same. The shrimp/watermelon/mozzarella appetizer was pretty bad, a couple of small boiled shrimp, and 4 small squares of dense tasteless cheese. It stood out because we were a party of 7, some who ordered a couple of apps a lot, and we were very impressed with the food! The chilled hot smoked salmon was great, as were the short ribs. Another fail was a shrimp burger another night, a bit odd, rubbery shrimp pressed together. I miss the smoked salmon tartare though.

Thanks for letting us live vicariously through you! We are at 14 days to our "Haven Heaven", and it's been so much fun sharing your experiences with you. We appreciate you taking time from your vacation to write such a detailed report.

What's your countdown to your next trip?

The show was fantastic! Remember it is all being done live on a moving ship and you are up close to see it all. There are jugglers, tightrope walkers, acrobats, etc. all in lavish costumes. What you come to expect from a Cirque show

We arrived as one of the last to be seated and ended up at a table for 12 off to the the right hand side of the stage. Since we had no other tables right behind us, once the show started you were able to move your chairs to get a better view of the show.

I have heard that some were able to book the show prior to sailing at a lower price. We did not because we had a conflict with our other dining/show reservations and booked the first day for the first night and were glad we did.

Unfortunately, nothing booked at the moment. But 4 cruise next certificates waiting to be used. We usually book about 3 months out,,,, but that is too long to wait [emoji3]

:hearteyes:Welcome home!! thx again for sharing your vacation and how was disembarkation today with the new color tags for walk offs? thx:hearteyes:

Sometimes,

Thank you.

Disembarkation was delayed a bit. From the PA announcements, some of the non-US people that needed to be processed into the US were not at their assigned meeting point on time. So the whole ship took longer to clear for disembarkation.

The staff were trying to enforce the colors, sending the late walk off people away. But it was still crazy.

We were watching one line snaking through the back of the theater,,,, but any time an elevator of Haven's guest arrived, the line would be stopped while they processed the Havens off the ship,,, causing much hate and discontent.

Once you got off the ship, there was a long line going to the escalators going down into the baggage hall. They kept stopping the line when the line at Immigration and Customs got long. So, that line backed up nearly to the gangway.

CBP were in their booths, checking IDs a lot more thoroughly than normal. And they actually let us back into the country ;p

Overall a great cruise!

wow we had the opposite situation. We chose the pink luggage tags 8-8:30 Self-Disembarkation and were actually off the ship and on the NYC streets by 8:25!

Yeah, I think that they called Pink around 7:45 and Purple around 8:00ish. At 9:00ish (when they were well into the non-self walk off colors), there were a ton of Pinks and Purples,,,, all clogging the lines and gangway.

Someone asked earlier,,, Havens were escorted around all of the lines to Customs (the bar waiter from the Havens sun deck was putting the Havens guests in the front of the security lines and doing most of the off-ship leg work).

BirdTravels,

Did you by any chance notice the photography set up on the night of the glow party. I will be traveling with a large group of my family and we were planning on doing a group picture (wearing all white) that night. I was hoping there would be a set up similar to that on captain's night. Thanks
