Lunch Options On Magic?

First time on Magic, or even that class ship. What options are open for lunch on embarkation?

Buffet, Pizza, Tandoor grill, Guys Burgers, Blue Iguana, Guys BBQ, Pasta bar @ Cucina. I think that covers it. Although I may have missed something

Definitely try the Cucina restaurant. We did that on our embarkation day last fall. It was so quiet and relaxing, not busy at all.

If you want Guy's, go early! The line grows as people board and get settled. We saw the longest lines there on embarkation day. I saw the line snake past Blue Iguana.

I have also found if you try to go to lunch at lunch time that's usually with everyone else's so you might want to try and make it either early or a little bit later. For the Mongolian Wok if you'd like that type of thing you want to get there at least 15 minutes before it opens because there will be a line the whole time it is open. Guys Burgers is open for a bit longer so their lines are not always as bad.

Taste bar is on 5th. It does a smaller breakfast and lunch suggestion. Not sure if it is open on departure though.

I have no personal experience but I've asked that question a couple of times and gotten affirmative responses.

That's good to hear, as I don't think the Deli appears on the deck plans.

 

Just booked Magic for next October and the ship really DOES seem to have a lot of dining choices...and most are free/included at lunch.

I am booked on Magic for August 26. Dinner reservations for Cucina for the first night. Supposed to get a free carafe of wine for dinner on the first or second night.

Not exactly correct. The main dining room is not open on embarkation day. They did have it open on the Dream for a very short time but that is history. Maybe you are thinking about Princess.

Question along this line also.. I see everyone mentioning the Tandoor Grill on Magic, but on Carnivals website it does not list it on Magic. Maybe I missed it??

Thanks.. I was going thru those, but for some reason it did not give that to me as an option!! I was reviewing all dining options but it did not appear :-(
