My Stateroom Has Disappeared

Erm, wind your neck in! I haven’t shouted at anyone and not said anything about a fake website.

I’m saying (if you read the rest of my posts) when you look to book something, anything, you would look on that website to get the most up to date information. On RCI website, it doesn’t show the cabins.

If I’m going to book a flight with Virgin, I’m going to go on Thomas Cook to look at flight deck.

Catch my drift?

I said nothing about anyone shouting or the RCI website being fake. Most cruisers would consider the room RCI assigned to you as an upgrade.

I hope this helps. Someone put this on Facebook showing that they have closed the studios, no waiting list and no availability.

Sorry it’s small but hopefully you can blow it up to see.

I’m so mad that I was made to look stupid, spent a fortune, guaranteed my room and end up at the bottom of the ship! How the hell does that work?? [emoji35]

You are now one deck lower that you originally booked, you have a cabin with more space and you are this upset about what?

I think the reason for you being moved to deck 3 is that you had an ocean view studio, and that’s were the available ocean views were. Maybe talk to your TA or call Royal to see if they can change it

I don’t want to have a casino, open over night, above my cabin. Plus, I’ve been made to look a fool of, been promised things and others are getting Balcony rooms. Would you be happy?

No, I personally would be mad as hell. Amazing putting you in a lower deck. Wish you the best.

It’s being handled apparently in order of cruise date. And Reservations department is not in the loop whatsoever.

Not sure it is going in order. I'm booked on the transatlantic in a studio deck 4 and nothing has changed yet for me, but someone posted earlier this morning that they have already been moved to another cabin on the same cruise.

Not hearing that they have given passengers a straight answer as to reason. Rumor has it the studio cabins have been “re-categorized” and will not exist on Symphony. Pre-sales were apparently done using Harmony deck plans and categories. They are now assigning those who booked to a standard interior or OV or even boardwalk balcony in some cases, depending on what’s open. Some are happy, others not. My cruise is not til November and haven’t heard or seen anything other than customers on social media.

Not sure about the "re-categorisation" RCCL seem to use that in a different context to the cabins just not being there.

I think this may be what the OP posted before

It is Fleet wide re-categorisation. Still dont know what it means but more than 10 cabins that were SO (single ocean?) on this ship are now 2O or 20??

If there really were no cabins they would not be recategorised?

They have told me that they needed more space for the restaurants!! Not that they’re not big enough as it is!

I am not sure [emoji848]. The category exists but maybe not on this ship? Nobody seems to know. Just hearing in various groups here and FB that quite a few have lost their previously booked studio cabins and got reassigned as a single in a standard cabin. This is considered an upgrade. My own booking has not changed. The booking had the newer category designation when originally booked.
